Is this some Flippa tactic or real?

Sometimes when you visit Flippa and browse through the "Just Sold" section, you will notice some websites, new websites for that matter having sold for massive amounts. Now the funny part comes when it was just one bid.

Like the site had no reserve, but auction ended 2 hours ago, 1 bid $45,000. Keep in mind this is a 3 months old site. The site is not making even that much in revenue.

Just 1 bid $45,000?

Any Flippas here please keep me up the speed.

Well I think it's just some tactic. Why would a bidder bid on a no reserve auction for $45k if he can only bid for $1 dollar to start since there's no other bidder yet.

I think this is a seller tactic so when he relist the site, he will mention that the old listing got a $45k bid.

That's what I thought. I further noticed that most people that have implemented this tactic, have been banned. Might be for some other reason, but I suppose this could be one of them.

There are many scammers and you should be really cautious about such bids.

I've got myself "scammed" once, one of the bidders bidder about 2Ã-- as the bidder before and no one wanted to bid. At the end of the auction that user got banned. So what can you do? $19 wasted.
