Hey,

Do any of you know if it is possible to create an amazon page that I can link to that has only the few products on it that I choose and not the rest of the products that come up in the original amazon search?

Thanks for your help: Chris

Have you tried the widgets. You can customize the widget to display from 1 to 24 products (depending on the width), select the default search term if necessary and then put it on your page.

    Thanks Robert,

I looked around in the widgets but did not notice anything that looked like what I was after. I will check again because it sounds like what your are talking about is what I am thinking of.

    Thanks Again!

Just log into your amazon associate account, then click widgets, click on the first one (search), and then select "custom size" on the next page.

Thanks again Robert, but I looked at the search widget and I don't think that is what I am looking for. I would like to send people to look at a page of search results on Amazon.com with high dollar binoculars on it. I would like to only show a few different sizes and models instead of all the binoculars and similar named objects in the list.

    Any thoughts on that?

    Thanks, Chris

Not sure if it's what you're after, but have you thought about

      Amazon's Listmania?

Seems like a new development still in Beta. Thanks for pointing this out.

@Chris: try the FAVORITES widget. The link to listmania is there, too.

Another option is to use the filters on the left hand side to get down to a useable list of products and then link to the results.

Interestingly, my site stripe wouldn't work this way although I'm sure I've used it before for search results. Instead, I had to take the resulting URL and go through my Amazon Associates dashboard to build the Link to Any Page but that did work.

    1. Put 'binoculars' into the search bar for Amazon.
    2. You'll see a list of categories right in the main content screen. Click on the one that says Binoculars.
    3. Select filters on the left hand side such as only 4+ rated products, products with the highest magnification, and a price range that shrinks the list down to just a few results that match your needs.
    4. Copy the final URL string.
    5. In your Amazon Associates dashboard, hover over the Links & Banners tab in the top left of the screen.
    6. Click on Link to Any Page.
    7. Scroll down to the Link to Any Page box and put your URL in the proper field.
    8. Name your link.
    9. Create the HTML.
    10. Copy the link and use as needed.
I hadn't thought to limit the results like that before. Interesting applications!

I am short on time right now, but I will take a look at these options in the morning and let you know if these will help me. Thanks for the help. With all of your advice I am slowly seeing my site getting better and better. Hopefully the wife will see the reasoning be hind me "playing on the computer" sooner or later.

    Thanks again: Chris

My wife used to say she was a "dot com widow."

Thankfully she has never been too upset with the amount of time I spend at the keyboard.

[HINT: if it ever appears that trouble is brewing on the home front, take a break from "playing on the computer!" ]

My wife used to think that also....until I showed her the bank statement showing where the "Amazon Fairy" had dumped about $87.00 dollars into the account which kept our water from being shut off!

My recommendation is to create an a-store in your Amazon affiliate account. In an a-store, you can create pages with as many or as few products as you wish. I won't put a link in here, but if you pm me I will send you a link to three a-stores that I am currently running.

In your Amazon Affiliate page, on a tab next to or close to the widgets tab, you will see the a-store tab. Click it, follow the on-screen instructions and your e-store is created. Then you either link directly to it or insert it as an iframe into a web page.

I haven't sold anything using a-stores, yet. Haven't quite figured out how to get customers to them with card in hand. If anyone has suggestions for that, I would love to hear them.

You can use amazon aStore where you can choose products to be displayed on aStore & then you can embed that store in your website by copy pasting simple code.
    Hope this helps...

Purplecone took the words right out of my mouth! My first gaming website had an A-store on it which did fairly well in the 7 months I owned it. Plus they are easily built in a few minutes.
