Figuring out the best traffic sources for a certain niche. I am finding that some traffic sources don't work that great for certain niches. I don't think that automating tasks for traffic is a good thing (article writing, blog commenting, etc).

Why wouldn't it be a good thing?

I don't like the idea of having generic blog comments automatically posted on blogs. I know this is one method that some people use to build links and traffic. I can't put it into the right words at the moment but some automated methods can produce low quality traffic and sometimes, it is hard to monitor the effectiveness of that method when you are using automated methods.

If I had to think of something that would be OK to automate, I would say posting to classified websites.

    Backlinking.

It's such a pain, even to outsource, and takes up such a lot of time that I'd rather spend doing other things.

As a result I don't do much of it and think it's over-rated anyway.

I'm most frustrated that traffic doesn't magically turn up at my site when I just sit around and hope for it.

      yes,

The best thing is targeted traffic works, the hardest bit is going out there and trying to find it, from the right site.

Too many times people say I am not getting traffic, yet they are not going out there trying to find it and bring it to their sites. That is the missing link that takes some people years to figure out, but when you do, there is a whole other world and massive opportunities that present themselves.

I love traffic generation actually... but maybe it is the way I do it. I enjoy my niche a lot and I spend time commenting on blogs related to my niche, which has the added bonus of giving me inspiration for my own articles. I also participate in forums in my niche, allowing me to become an authority in my niche, help others, and get ideas of what my audience wants out of products.

The way I do things is like traffic generation and market research in one and I enjoy it a lot.

I don't go around creating tons of backlinks. I don't depend on Google since you never know when they will change how they rank sites. I focus on writing great articles other people want to syndicate and networking with my audience, putting my links out where people will see them and click them. I get a steady stream of traffic and my website is only on the 3rd page of Google for my keyword.

I guess just that it takes time. However, everything takes time. It is just a bit more boring.

Waiting for 'free' traffic, and having to pay for bought traffic

Here's a quick traffic tip that can work like a charm:

Find a youtube video related to your business/product/service, that has a substantial number of views each month.

Who do you think makes most videos on youtube?

      Business owners?
      No.

      Actors/stars?
      No.

      Social media experts?
      No.

FIFTEEN YEAR OLDS that wanna share!!

"Hey kid! Mind if I give you $10 or $20 for your account. Or just to place a link at the end of your videos or in the description?"

You might be surprised at how many kids get excited for that small amount of money! And its way better than spending thousands on fruitless CPA campaigns.

Once you have a mutual legal understanding with the owner of the video, you already have all the traffic it gets. Just get your link in there, and watch the traffic roll in!

Traffic generation is the most fun, and fulfilling when I think 'outside' the box. It doesn't have to be frustrating, go after traffic others don't even know is there.

    Hi Henri!

I would say, arguably, working traffic generation is the most time consuming part to IM, if you are using webs and blogs.

Many times the hours spent does not equate to the few viewers you receive.

In my sig is a great WSO deal for free and low cost ways to get traffic- if your up for some more punishment

    Peace.

I think the biggest issue is the time it takes to build up enough traffic for my sites.

Although I'm a good writer, I wish article marketing was a push button process. But Its a love-hate relationship because when my article is done and I look at the finished product and realize I wrote it myself and didn't have to outsource it; it get all bubbly inside.

Writing articles is the most pain for me as well. I would love to be confident about outsourcing it, but I am almost never satisfied with the results. I am good at writing articles, but I hate the process.

Like last week's episode, this was a rather calm episode, punctuated by Sally's understandable meltdown at the end. Yet many of the female characters were close to the end of their tethers. Some received comfort, but only of a temporary kind.

Sally was told by Megan that it was all going to be OK. Sally could have been speaking for Faye, Peggy, Joan and Ida Blankenship when, stone-faced, the little girl answered, "No, it it's not."
