Article Marketing/ Content Site Question

Hello,

I have a question regarding the ratio of unique articles that one should submit to article directories versus the number of unique articles one should post on one's site.

For example, let's say I have 10 unique articles, how many should of these articles should I submit to article directories and how many should I post to my site?

I would greatly appreciate hearing from experienced marketers regarding this question.

Thanks,

Dan

I would suggest you look at it a slightly different way..

With your current articles, try rewriting them slightly (most importantly make new article titles), and try and make them at least 30% different from the original.

Now with your new set of articles (the rewriten one), submit them to the article directories and keep your original articles to put on your site..

I have found this to work HEAPS better than any other method..

    Hope this helps

I'd agree with Bruce but I'd take it a step further.

One thing you need to know about article marketing is that it's a numbers game. It truly is more important to ask the question "how can I go from 10 to 100 to 1000 articles." I know it might seem like a stretch for you but 3 articles per day for a year is over 1000 articles.

With the traffic you'll generate from that number of articles, you will be generating some nice revenue from One Time Offers, product sales, and other affiliate marketing. With those profits you can reinvest this into more articles which will create a system.

      The key is your system.

So here's how I challenge you...rather than ask which proportion should be on your own site and in directories, ask yourself how many articles can I produce in the fastest way possible w/o cheating or unethical behavior (you'll fail in the long run if you cheat with article marketing...that's a guarantee).

Hope that gives you some food for thought!

Strong word said here, I 100% agree with you. Another important thing is to target the right keywords because even 10,000 articles without targeted keywords will lead to nothing.

I made my first commissions from article marketing.
I used to write articles first but now I have hired someone to write articles for me.

      From another angle...

And alot of newbies make this mistake.

You want to keep your best content for YOUR site.

Yeah you can get traffic from submitting content to directories
but if that traffic follows the link back to your site only to find
what's there isn't as good as what they already read... they
become a fan of ezinearticles.com and not you!

Furthermore, you need to keep plenty of quality unique content
on your site in order to grow your authority and build links to
your site, rather than improving the quality of ezinearticles.com.

What I do is have an article written, post it in your blog. Rewrite
it and submit it to ezinearticles.com. That costs less (or takes
less time if doing it manually), still gets a link coming back to
your site and gives you exposure from the directory, but still
keeps your site at the highest quality and so allows it to build
it's own search engine ranking for another stream of traffic
      over the longer term.

      Hope that's helpful.

post more than half of the articles to highly ranked directories and post remaining to your website and blog(if yo have the one).............this will help you get good inbound link which will help rank your website......

Note-make every article unique as this will bring in more traffic and rank your article submitted in another directories

I agree with Andrew. You will want the quality content on your site especially if its a site with adwords or other advertisements on it. You want the people that are coming to your site to be engaged by what they are reading and it should not be of the same quality of something you are just posting to get a link.

I have found that if you make a good strong article on your blog/website and then make a teaser article with a few tips that are power packed with the promise of more of this topic on your website... work well for me.
