Monetize to sell @ flippa

Hey all,

I have registered a domain name awhile ago with an average keyword i'd say, however I haven't really done anything to it except redirecting to cpa offers.

My question is, if i'd like to sell it on flippa - what do I need to do to be able to put it on there (as in profitable-wise), how can I maximize the value of it?

Thanks

Well you don't 'have' to do anything to flip it providing it is making money. If your site is making money and you can show and document the proof and how you go about it then that is often enough in itself. Leave it to the buyer to mess with all the SEO stuff if he/she wants to.

However, if you're just selling a site based around a concept, a keyword and an idea then, yes, you'll need to show a high amount of traffic coming to it. In which case you'll need good content, in a blog if you prefer, some backlinks from supporting sites (Squidoo, HubPages and Fanpages), and a steady succession of articles.

You would need to see some traffic and sales to sell it for any substantial profit. You may be able to unload it quickly for $99 or $150 if the domain name is decent. If it's just a domain name, you can list it in GoDaddy's domain name auctions which get alot of lookers.

If you want to try to rank your current site and get organic traffic to it, I can help with that just send me a PM or check out my sig link.

PWTMike is right, you should probably look to offload it in a domain name marketplace or forum rather than flippa, which is better for established websites instead of just domain names.

You could also try throwing wordpress on there, writing a few posts, doing some basic SEO and then sell it when it's making $50 a month.

I sell ready made sites with no traffic and make profits, not great, but itll do for me. I always include good BIN bonuses that way they have an incentive to use the BIN..it works for me.
