Keyword and Niche Questions
So the article syndication route seems pretty awesome. I've been reading like crazy (mainly stuff Alexa and co have been posting) about this method and I THINK I've learned enough to ask my question (somewhat) intelligently. Here we go:
1. It seems to me that the origin of any article syndication strategy is identifying a niche and selecting keywords to figure out competition, right?
2. Do you just randomly decide upon something you know a lot about and then start keyword research once you have that niche nailed down? Or do you research the niche and then figure out if it has a following or if it's too saturated and then decide?
3. Once said niche has been selected, can you use Google's free keyword tool or is a paid program like Market Samurai better?
And, finally (almost done I swear)...
4. How much importance should you place on keywords? If you are using an article syndication strategy, should you use them for article topics in order to land on relevant sites that point back to you?
I just wanted to clarify before I begin.
