LOCATION - Could it be a big factor to your online success?

Hello Fellow Warriors,

Is the location has a great advantage when it comes to making money online? Could it be considered as one of the main factors to your Online Business success?

Just like me, I am from Mindanao, Philippines and unfortunately mail delivery here sometimes sucks. I have an adsense site and the ads are not displaying until I could enter the PIN number Google has mailed me. I have been waiting for the Google's PIN mailer.

How I wish Google will just send me the PIN information via email. (I know it's impossible.)

I know this is just a part of the challenge.

There will always be problems and it's up to us how to deal with them.

I hope I can find other options and you may suggest as well to get this sorted out.

Sincerely,
Louie Tugas

P.S. I'll be posting a specific thread too in Adsense / PPC / SEO Discussion Forum. I hope the Mods will consider this thread post of mine.

This is my problem as well. But i suppose mentality and language to be the main obstacles. May your customers think in other way than you do?

About AdSense PIN, ask AdSense supports and they will ask for your copy of National ID.
I'm in Indonesia and some friends of mine experienced that.

    About your question:
LOCATION – Could it be a big factor to your online success? No!
It's just an excuse and winner never make any excuses.
Don't ever give up and you'll be the winner!

You can be successful wherever you are located. The key thing is to find a way round the problems you are facing.

AdSense is not the only way of earning an income. Have you tried offering your services to Warriors on "Warriors for Hire"? What about registering with Fiverr.com to offer whatever services you can?

I know one graphic designer from Philippines who is inundated with gigs - he has the nicest nature and the most positive attitude I've come across. What is more, nothing seems too much trouble to him. He started only a short while ago but is already clocking up quite a number of positive reviews.

Where there is a problem, the solution isn't far behind. You just need to find it.

As far as your physical location goes, you may find yourself facing uncommon problems when trying to make money online; but it shouldn't stop you or lessen the amount that you are able to make. That is one of the most appealing factors of IM in my opinion, it can be done by anybody, anywhere as long as they have the drive to succeed.

Thanks a lot Ikmal for this information. I still have 2 remaining chance of requesting a new PIN. I am just trying to be very much careful because I heard some adsense accounts get banned and the owners were so shocked.

Thank you for the inspiring words.

I hear you James. You have made yourself very clear.

The thing is, winners don't quit.

I couldn't agree more, Joe. You are pretty spot-on with what you have written here.

    Hey magiclouie,

I believe that the situation you are currently in is a challenge to your skills in finding alternatives.

Keep looking for other options, pal. Let me remind you that location could be a factor but not necessarily a hindrance to your success..

The most salient thing is that you have the passion and the determination to make it work.

    Cheers,

    savvy linguist

Most of my VA is from Mindanao, Davao and seems they don't have any problems with their mails. However, this is only one of the obstacles you have to face for your success.

Yeah, I need to deal with this kind of obstacle.

Unfortunately, I am in Iligan City, Davao City is a fast developing City here in the Philippines so I guess mail delivery is not a problem there.

I think it is a big factor but this doesn't mean it is an obstacle to your success. If you are really interested and have perseverance... success is on your way.

    BIG NO !!

And it's so wrong to convince yourself that location matters

It doesn't matter the location, the parents, the friends or w/e

What is only responsible for your success is :

    =========> YOU

It is a real problem when you are living in a country like Philipines, more when it comes to actual delivering of goods.

I'm in Texas and I too am waiting on another Google pin#. I wouldn't let slower mail bring me down too much.

Yeah, we should not let let slower mail bring us down.

There are just things which are out of our control and sometimes we can do nothing except move on.

Hey Magic Louie, good question man, I clicked on it because I am sort of doing some experiments of my own building a company from a third world country. I'm from the US, but living in Colombia right now. I love it here and don't want to leave.

Anyhow, I have been to the Philippines on a few occasions, also one of my favorite places in the world. The last time I was there I met a Filipino guy named Ian Del Carmen. He is now a very famous Internet marketer. Anyhow, this guy went from making about $600 dollars a month (equivalent in Ph pesos) working for a news station in Manila, to making over a million bucks a year. I believe his operations are still in Ph. He told me the story of how he got started online when he recieved a spam email from some online guru on how to affiliate market membership sites. It wasn't long after that this guy was raking in big money. Im not sure exactly what he is doing now, but I know he is one of the most sought after marketers online right now.

here is a link to one of his sites which talks about him, who knows, maybe you can even get in touch with him:

    Who is Ian del Carmen?

Anyhow, I think there are definately some obstacles to working from a place where the systems are not as good as in other countries, but there are always ways around it. In your case, maybe first start by finding some methods with as little road blocks as possible to start with, and stay focused on those.

I am personally focused on CPA marketing with Facebook Ads. I think this is something you could easily do without much hassle, or waiting for mail etc...

Anyhow, anything you need man, I would be glad to help. Best of luck

      Hello Nate,

I really admire your passion in helping others.

I still have 2 more chances in requesting for another PIN number. I just have this fear that if I can't enter the PIN number anytime soon, Google will close my account. I used to have a good number of clicks per day, so I am quite worried.

I'll try to get contact with Ian del Carmen.

      Thanks a lot, pal!

      Sincerely,
      Louie Tugas
