This is a first...and I'm almost having a heart attack over it!

But for the first time, Aweber actually let their customers know beforehand that they're gonna be down!!!

NOTICE: Upcoming Maintenance, January 25, 2009

On Sunday evening, January 25, 2009 through early Monday morning, between the hours of 9:30pm and 12:30am EST, the AWeber customer and affiliate control panel will be unavailable for system upgrades. Please plan the creation and delivery of any newsletters accordingly.

Customer web forms displays, web form sign ups, click tracking links, open rates, and unsubscribe links will continue to function throughout this period for your website visitors and subscribers.

Any new subscriber sign ups during that period will be queued and sent the initial message once maintenance is completed. Any follow up or broadcast newsletter messages scheduled during that time period will be delivered at the completion of the maintenance period.

Periodic updates are necessary to continue to build larger, faster, easier to use tools to automate your business email marketing. Thank you for your patience as we make these upgrades to continually improve AWeber's service for you.

Sincerely,
Tom Kulzer
CEO & Founder
AWeber Communications, Inc.

I guess enough complaining got them to be more customer-friendly.
