WSO Graphics - anyone have a suggestion?

I've seen some of the WSO's have great graphics...

Does anyone know who makes them (i.e., are they hiring someone from the WF), or what program is being used to do so?

I'm thinking of eventually doing a WSO, however even to get some done for some of my sites would be great.

    Amber:

Yes, graphics for WSOs can be hired out here at the Warrior Forum. Unless you are a very sharp graphic designer, I would suggest you rely on someone who is to get your work done.

Few mistakes shout "amateur" and "cheapskate" like poor graphics. That same label can transfer over to your product even though it may be the best thing going.

Be careful when you look for a designer as many enter the field actually having very few design skills but lots of clipart and sometimes stolen images.

Ask to see a portfolio of previous work, especially for the kind of project you envision for your WSO.

Ask for references and check them out.

My own experience is that lots of folks claim to be graphic designers, but many are only amateurs with a graphics editing program. True "artists" that can design unique layouts and put together graphic images that command interest and convert prospects to buyers are special people that deserve to be paid their going rate. Be prepared to pay for quality.

By the way, since you asked, Adobe PhotoShop is the tool of choice for most all experienced graphic designers.

    Good luck,
    Steve

it can very simple to create some nice graphics if your willing to tackle the learning it requires. You can simply grab you a copy of GIMP which is free and head over to youtube and get to watching videos on text art. Go and find you the best font you think of and get to applying what you learned.

You can also take the easy way out and find one of those graphics software for IM which lets you create headers and buttons.

You may want to check the WSO section itself for graphics if you're just looking for some to plug into your sales letter. This is one of the best WSOs I ever bought and Max is very well known for the quality of his graphics.

You can outsource your graphics to designer at "warrior for hire"

Check out their portfolio first. If you like their style & previous job, hire them :-)

I'm able found a great designer at this forum & I outsource most of my graphics to him.

Or you can try fiverr, there are some great designers there are willing to offer their service (ie: ecover design) for $5.

$5 to get rid of all your headache, worth it :-)

You don't need much graphic design work for a WSO except maybe a book cover and some action buttons. I believe a screenshot and something like that can be made by anybody. Fiverr is the cheapest way to do it, but the quality has to suffer a bit due to the price.

If you have good knowledge of Photoshop then by all means create most the graphics yourself. As Gary said, there are packs of graphics that are selling for really cheap that will help you in creation of your WSO. If you don't have good knowledge of Photoshop

I would not recommend creating your eCover or header or banner(s) yourself, that's the only part I would suggest you outsource. It should be left to a professional to be done properly to gain a high conversion rate.

Don't believe what most people on this thread are saying about cheap graphics, UNLESS you want cheap graphics...

You'll never get anthing remotely close to the graphic attached for just $5.00 or for cheap.

What you will get, is cheap graphics. Some marketers are ok with that, even experienced ones, who are successful. But if you can be successful with nothing or crappy graphics, imagine having graphics done professionally, and what they could do for your wso and reputation as someone who does not cut corners.

First impressions go a long way, choose to invest in graphics that are professionally designed.

Not by just someone who owns photoshop, but someone who does it for a living.... There are many of these types of people on this forum...

Interesting topic, I think that packaging, (graphics) can definitely help or hurt any product you bring to market, the thing is, what is enough and what would be too much.

If you paid someone $500.00 to do some custom graphics, you would have to sell a ton of products to make up that "Investment" so really Graphics are important but they are not the product, they are a reflection of the product.

Anyone that thinks that having the "Best graphics" money can buy will help you sell products, is actually very mistaken.

The most important thing about marketing a product is the Product itself.

A detail that often is forgotten in the process of setting up a product for sale, the graphics really should only after you have a valuable product to bring to market, then you can decide if you need to invest in graphics or if you need to use a software product.

My advice if you are the least bit creative is to try to carve out your own style. Nothing's worse than seeing people copy someone else's creativity.

If not, hire a designer who can put something awesome together for you. But again trying to find a style and then stick to it.

Sure the product itself is the core but no one will get to the core, unless the core is presented in such a way that they will purchase it... That's where presenational quality comes into play and sales copy of course.

Presentation "IS" what sells the product. Along with sales copy. A great product alone will never sell unless people are pursuaded to buy it, via words and via visual representation. Of course words are the leader, but they go hand in hand with graphics.

    Example:

    a. You could have a ****ty product and present in such a way that it would sell using great words and graphics.

    b. You could have an awesome product with NO presentation at all, or ****ty representation and it will not sell, it may sell based on copy alone, but if it sells with great copy and ****ty graphics, or no graphics, then logically imagine how well it could do with great copy and great graphics....

My point is this, marketing involves visual representation of your product, whether it be in simplicity or very detailed. If it's done shotty, then that directly reflects in the buyers mind the quality of the product

(unless of course the buyer knows the seller always has great products but never spends anytime on presenting them properly, which is the case many times on the forum. But they have earned that reputation over time, and a new comer cannot expect to follow their shoddy examples and get the same results. If that was the case then there would be NO need for marketing departments or advertising departments and all the various ways they present their services or products that they are pushing. Graphic design is a major player in all marketing and advertising firms)

I do agree that graphics are one of the last things to be added to the marketing effort for sure. Because you cannot design for a product or enhance the sales copy visually until the product and the sales copy are finished.....

I know we are talking WSO's and spending larger sums of money on them really depends on the expected projected sales of your product. There are so many people pushy simple, quickly made, ebooks, and stuff like that, that could not justify spending much money at all. Not that those products are not valuable or do not make good money, lots do. But to spend $500 on a WSO graphics package for 1 ebook that has an expected goal of making $1,500 is not wise.

Then there are those who have products that are much more involved and have a projected income over time that would justify spending money to promote and present the product properly, because they more than likely are not just selling it here on the WF but elsewhere also.

Of course, I may seem biased, but ask any graphic designer, or someone who has worked in marketing firms or advertising firms, and see if they would like to do their job of selling stuff with no graphics....

I think as a rule of thumb I think you should either go with really really crappy graphics that scream "I'm not trying to fool you, no graphics here" or with some high qual graphics. Expect to pay $10 an hour overseas, and $20+ an hour locally for a good graphic design. Or you can go on fiverr and try out 3 different gigs and pick the best one, however most people can spot fiverr created graphics from a mile away... which is an issue.

You're already a step ahead of many people that launch their first WSO. Graphics are very important for the image of your product. If you hire someone to do them now, I'd suggest learning how to make them too so in the future you can do it yourself and get them exactly how you want them.
