Questions About Fiverr - Can I direct my customer to download a file from a third party website?

Hi Guys,

I recently just joined Fiverr and am very involved in it.

Therefore, I am not very sure about how Fiverr works.

In fact, I have come across numerous stories about sellers in Fiverrs being banned from Fiverr unknowinly due to violation of their T&C for god knows what reasons.

Hence, I would like to seek advise from warrior members here about what I am intending to do in Fiverr.

I am currently offering a 150,000 PLR Articles pack in Fiverr and due to large file size ( about 200 mb ) , I encountered difficulties in sending the articles to my buyers.

Therefore , I would like to know , isit legal for me to direct my buyer to a file sharing websites such as mediafire, filesonice, megaupload etc to download the file instead

I was thinking of sending a txt format file to them with the website link embedded in the txt file.

Is this allowed in Fiverr?

Am I violating the T&C of Fiverr this way?

Need your help guys !

Cheers !

You won't be banned for sure unless you are reported for violating T & C of fiverr.
I do that both as a buyer and a seller.

Why don't you contact Support at Fiverr and ask for their advise. I have found them very friendly and helpful in the past.

      All the best,

Sadly, my experience is quite the opposite. Friendly enough, maybe, but when asking for specifics on rules in somewhat grey areas, it usually results in an equally grey, vague, non-answer.

As long as the product is "delivered" on Fiverr you are fine. Delivery can be a URL to your site, PDF, Video, whatever. Just don't ask for email addresses or phone numbers, or send them to a site where they receive non-Fiverr offers.

Probably the safest, most sure, delivery as far as Fiverrs TOS goes, would be to put your third party link in a PDF and send it to your customer that way.

I'm no Fiverr expert (just have one gig there),
but I think that in your DELIVERY of your product
there is no rule against directing the buyers to your
website or however they can obtain their product.

fiverr wouldn't ban you for giving a link to download the item as long as your link is not used to complete sales outside their website.

Regardless of replies here, I'd still ask via support at Fiverr to have a record in case anything goes wrong, like a hand slap for delivering that way or some disgruntled buyer's complaint or something. You never know, so play it safe, my humble Fiverr advice They're quick to reply so you should know very quickly.

I would be very careful and agree that it's best to contact Fiverr and ask about this.

People who are saying they do it and haven't been banned aren't proof that it's OK, maybe it's just that Fiverr hasn't caught them yet.

I had a gig up there that required a report after it was delivered, I got in trouble for emailing it to the buyer. Thankfully Fiverr just gave me a warning and I didn't do it any more. But I think they are also pretty strict about linking to a site that could allow the customer to buy your gig without going through Fiverr.

A download link would seem a lot less risky but contact Fiverr to be sure. Otherwise I think the idea above is quite a good one - deliver a PDF with the link to download from your site.

Ditto on the folks who say to ask Fiverr first. I have seen good sellers shut down before.
