None of them, NLP isn't magic.

My guess would be the best way to be a successful webcam model is:

    1: be super hot

2: do really degrading things to yourself and get a reputation for it.

for some reason people like watching sick things online and those videos usually go viral and up in everyone's inbox with a title "Dude watch what these chicks do with tis cup! IT"S SO SICK!!!". IMO I'd find work elsewhere...

No, he missed by jumping on his soapbox to introduce his version of morality into the thread.

I sent the fellow to the copy writing sub-forum, because I know people in that sub-forum can help him. As far as NLP, I don't think too highly of it, but I do know copy writers who live and breathe it.

I answered this thread when it dropped to page two. If I hadn't sent him to the people who could help him, this thread would have dropped into oblivion with no possibility of the OP of finding any help at all.

The fact that many webcam models don't do degrading things to themselves at all.

Not really: he just poured out some judgmental, prejudiced, ill-informed nonsense.

That part of the forum happens to be where the NLP experts live, so maybe it was a helpful suggestion, rather than just a criticism of someone else's post as yours was.

I suspect, Jason, that to get useful advice here, for your girlfriend, it'll help to give a little more detail, if you can - because "webcam model" covers a pretty wide range of activities and interactions and NLP techniques are clearly going to be more relevant to some than to others.

That said, I won't be astonished if the thread disappears, to be honest.

I know a web cam model that plays chess for $12 a minute topless and a member that paid out $225k last year watching cam models.
Morality a side, there's a lot of money in it

Wow $720 an hour per person, just to play chess on camera... LOL

Imagine if she has an audience of more than one when she plays chess... WOW

ok, I think some people took what I said in the wrong context I wasn't imposing any sort of moral judgement at all. Honestly I could careless what you do.

I meant do things to draw lot's of attention on the internet.

Also I never said all cam models do degrading things (although many DONT many also DO).

My main point was NLP most likely isn't the key to your success.

It was rather easy to do that, when you started with "degrading" and "sick" and only later explained that you were imposing no moral judgement. I think you can see how people might misjudge that one?

Your "main point" was something you didn't actually say at all?!

      Okay ...

      Anyway, thanks for the update.

I suspect that when he saw the thread, he had the flash in his mind of "2 Girls and a Cup" and the memory of it freaked him out. :p

I've got my Master Prac certification in NLP, and I can't quite figure out how it would assist a webcam model.

Much of NLP is based on finding effective ways to communicate. The only thing I can really think of is building rapport, whether that's through the written word or the webcam.

I'm sure if you think hard enough you could visualize how a webcam model can install an anchor in her viewers?
I need to talk with you if your certified. did you do online or physical training?

    Hi,

I'm a trained NLPer (Master Practitioner) but to be honest I have a problem with the whole "I want to use NLP on people" side of it.

It's a great framework for describing how people communicate and how their communication is formed based on their believes. I just don't like the idea that people use it as a sales tool rather than for the positive personal benefit of themselves and others.

With that said, there are many aspects of it that your girlfriend would find interesting, including:

    1) pre-suppositions

This is when she makes a statement that pre-supposes that the viewer will take the desired action.

i.e "Hi, let me tell you all about what you'll get once you've paid." this pre-supposes that they're going to make a payment.

    It's subtle but effective.

    2) convincer strategies

This is about how people become convinced about things. For example, some people need to hear how something helped other people, some need to hear about it a certain number of times, others over a certain period of time, or from a certain person.

Your girlfriend can cater for these things by having testimonials, having an email autoresponder series, getting affiliates, etc. etc.

    3) Catering to different modalities

Some people are visual, some auditory (focus on sounds), some kinesthetic (focus on feelings)

Your girlfriend can cater for these by including things for all types. Visual people tend to speak faster and at a higher pitch, Auditory people more level pitched and resonant, kinesthetic slower and with pauses.

    4) anchoring

Using the modalities mentioned above she can anchor certain things by using a particular gesture, motion, intonation etc. when mentioning things she wants to hit the same spot within the person.

This is one of those aspects that dating gurus love because you can tell someone about good relationships and gesture to yourself and when referring to bad ones gesture away from yourself (or towards your competition).

The possibilities are endless and depend on her particular style and preferences.
