Pay Per Lead or Subscription Fee
I am having a little dilemma with regards to my pricing model.
I own a website and will soon be integrating a quoting system into it whereby consumers can get quotes from a network of pros we will have. A bit like ServiceMagic, RedBeacon etc, but with a laser focus on a niche market and incorporating lots of content, inspirational photo galleries and a pro directory.
Trying to build the network of pros is the hardest part. Regarding the pricing model, here are my 3 options:
1. Pay Per Lead: Up to 3 pros can buy the lead with no subscription or joining fee.
2. Subscription: Pay a flat monthly fee. Up to 3 pros can claim the lead but there is no additional fee for the lead.
3. Subscription & Pay Per Lead: Smaller monthly subscription plus a fee for each lead you buy. Each pro gets a profile page in our directory anyway so it is also a form of advertising. If someone requests a quote from a specific member from their profile page, we would charge the pro for this lead also.
I am not interested in the success fee model as each project requires one-to-one interaction and site visits.
I'd love to get lots of feedback and opinions on this so looking forward to hearing from you guys. There is a massive opportunity with this website as long as I get the pricing model right.
