Help with Affiliate Marketing

Hello. I just joined somebody's downline, but I am serious about this company. I want to make this one work. I was wondering if anybody can give me some decent advice on how to market my product.
This is what I've started so far-
blog
webinar
fb

I just need to know how to bring people to my webinars, first of all, without resorting to craigslist only. Thanks for any help!

    If I had a free Webinar I would advertise on a few safelist. Also put up a few text ads on the safelist as well. Use real time traffic sources such as twitter, facebook, yahoo answers etc......

        a safe list is a website like listjoe.com - basically everyone signs up for free and you create an add for your website. you build credits by clicking ads from other members. while you have credits, your add will be displayed for everyone else to click. when the other members click your add, they will see your webpage that you're promoting and will possibly sign up for your offer. everyone on safelists are basically looking for someone else to go to their sites, so you may not get a whole lot of commissions - at least not at first. But it is free and a good way to get started.

        Safelist are mailing list where members join for free and agree to receive emails from other members. You should set up to gmail accounts to do this. one as your main email and one for you list email. There are a ton of safelist out there just do google search. Do not use your own personal email for this.

      Yes, I agree with erob - You'll want to use social networking like facebook, twitter, youtube, etc. You can also write articles and post to blogs and forums. Just remember - when you post to blogs and forums - you want to actually give advice like we're doing here - then you can have a link to your website in your profile.

      You'll probably want to use the Google Keyword Tool (just go to Google and search "google keyword tool") and search for keywords that people would use when looking for a product like yours. Then try to include the keywords with the least competition and the most searches in your articles and social networking pages. That will help the webpage to rank better on searches.

      If you have the cash you can obviously pay for services to promote the site, but there are many ways to do it for free - it will just take a little time and a lot of work on the computer.

    Thanks you all for the replies! My next question is how high of a conversion rate will I get with safelists realistically? I know it depends. But I am curious to see how it has been working for anybody?

      It does depend, on two main things.

      (i) What you're promoting (obviously enough, to make safelist traffic appropriate for it, it has to be something targeted at people who use safelists. This is just "Marketing 101": you have to target your product at the right market, and the right market means "people who are already looking for what you have to offer".)

      (ii) How you do it (with safelist traffic, you need to build a list first, and establish credibility by building relationships and becoming respected and trusted, before trying to sell anything. Period. Try to sell them something directly and you'll fail.)

      Most people will tell you that "safelist traffic is not targeted traffic".

      And "most people" are wrong.

      What "most people" really mean, when they say that, is "What I was promoting wasn't targeted at that traffic".

      But I'm curious about your use of the word "downline" in your first post. Is this, in fact, an MLM scheme? What's the product you're selling?

        Not really a scheme. I have been in affiliate marketing for a couple years to no success. I saw and am copying a model that I watched somebody else do personally and he exploded. I want to make this one successful. Anyway the type of product I am promoting is GROUPON for text messaging. I started my web presence with a review at levelbelow.blogspot.com.

          You might want to try posting on Craigs List. It's free and it attracts a different group who are usually looking to buy something. Good luck!

          i looked at the blog post - it looks interesting, but people are probably going to want to see results. You should provide some kind of way to show this method works for you. Also, make sure you do research with the google keyword tool. I did a search for TextCashNetwork and it brought up a lot of links - your blog wasn't on the first or second page - though I know it has only been available since 11/16/11. The title of the post is The Level Below. You should probably make the title a keyword that would be searched on google, and use that keyword or phrase at least a few times in the post. That may help it rank.

    Whatever you do you might want to build a list in the process. You'll need an autoresponder service for that. If you don't want to spend any money on that first, I'd recommend Getresponse.com (free up to 1000 contacts). Then you promote your squeeze page in the safelists (go to traffichoopla.com, and once you set up your account look at the "3rd Join" tab - 10 best safelists according to the users), and direct your leads to your affiliate offer. Of course you must something to offer in exchange for their e-mail address - a free report, an e-book, etc.
    You shoot two birds with one stone here: People see your offer and land on your list, so you can send them some more info in the follow-up e-mail later. You can place a banner leading to your site on the "thank you" page.

    Sorry if anything above sounds like ancient Greek to you, but I'd have to write an e-book to explain everything here.
    So, as others recommend, read, read, and read even more.

    There are a lot of ways to market your product. But you need to invest a lot of time and energy to learn how to do it properly. Start with some basic things, like article and youtube marketing, comment posting, forum posting.

    Don't waste too much time on reading and learning, you will learn through learning.
