Need help monetizing weight loss site with 500 unique visitors daily

I got a weight loss site that's averaging over 500 targeted unique visitors daily. So far, I've only put Adsense ads on it. I am getting a decent return, but, I feel like I am not utilizing the traffic to it's full potential.

I am not interested in selling products. That model just doesn't suit me. So, please don't suggest the likes of clickbank.

I read a little about Pay Per Lead yesterday night. I learned you basically have to get your referrals to sign up for a free trial or other form actions that doesn't involve cash. That's sounds like something I would be into.

I've been searching for weight loss/fitness pay per lead programs for the past hour and so far, no luck. Can someone please tell me where to find a good weight loss pay per lead program?? Any other advice would be appreciated as well.

    You might try to display CPA offers. They pay per lead. You would have to join a CPA network, and select offers from their catalog to put on your website.

      Check out MaxBounty and see if you can find some weight loss offer there. They have easy submit offers and they pay decent.

    What is it about the selling product model that doesn't suit you? Do you disagree with it on a personal level? Are you worried about administration?

    The most valuable thing you can do is build a list. You can then send those people to Pay Per Lead offers or whatever you want.

        *sigh* As I previously said, I am not interested in programs similar to Clickbank. Also, I am sure posting just for the sake of promoting your site is against the rules somewhere...

    I'd echo the "build a list", then I'd build traffic and try to get top dollar for the site and the list.

    There are some good CPA offers in that vertical, but many of them are somewhat suspect, although they pay very well. By that I mean the kind of "free trial" offers that draw FTC scrutiny.

    I love what Rich said, get a top quality free give away maybe a calorie counter or an ebook.... And offer It if they sign up. That way you have an asset that you can monetize for years.

    Having said that I can't help but feel that asking how to make money off 15000 targeted weight loss visitors a month is like asking how "can I make money out of this big bar of gold? " lol

    I think many people would love to have your dilemma

      The problem is, my visitors consist of mainly teenagers that are trying to get a six pack. I tried selling but, that didn't work out so well. I am guess teens don't have much buying power. Which is why I figured Pay Per Lead would better suit my site.

        That is definitely an important piece of information. It is always difficult to monetize off of visitors who aren't buyers. I am having a similar dilemma with my MMA tube site.

      Nah.. I am making good money with Adsense on it. But, if you are interested in the niche, we can workout a pay per lead deal.

        Ad sense in a general weight loss market is pretty worthless, you would need far more traffic than 15k to make any sort of money. You'll definitely want to look for better options.

        I have a site in this niche that does a bit better than this traffic-wise and make most of my money off affiliate products.

        As others have mentioned, your best bet is to get them on a list.

        If you're promoting clickbank products in the weight loss market, you definitely need to presell them. Cold traffic off of banner ads converts very poorly.

        You can also find some decent affiliate programs for this market at commission junction. Again, preselling through an email series will produce better results.

    I am not sure if you have this information on your site but I would suggest that you add more recipes and more sections then add the google + button to your pages, this will help you alot in ranking..if people like what you are offering then the will give you a + which means your rankings will go up for other keywords = more visitors = more adsense income..might be a simple idea but IMO it will help
