Help with Adwords Account suspension

Today i got an email that my AW account is suspended "until this issue is resolved".

Their system for some reason thinks that one of my landing pages distributes malware - of course it does not.

So..i replied to that email....but i got an automated email back that they wont usually reply directly to emails, and they refer to their help-section.

Although in the email it says to reply to the email to resolve the issue.

Puzzled.

I sincerely hope it works out for you...it's more than an uphill battle to get unbanned by Adwords. It took me over a year and this was 4 years or so ago when I actually had an account rep to talk to. Google is the borg.

I know at least a few people who have never gotten their ban lifted.

Are you sure that this was not a phishing email?

Did you check that your account really was suspended?

I received a similar email but some of the details did not look right so I logged in to my AW account and found nothing wrong. Google confirmed that they did not send that sort of email without first sending a warning and an oportunity to comply with their rules.

You might not like what I say - but I believe it.
Build it, make money, then build some more

i can log in in my account, but everything is frozen, i dont have impressions. Keyword tool says "landing page contains malware".

I was thinking about phishing first also.

I got my account suspended for a while while they investigated something and it went back live after about a week and a half.

I'd say it's unlikely you'll force them to move any faster no matter what you're spending, but doesn't hurt to try.

Sadly, I have to agree with LB. It's very difficult to get them to lift a ban. I was suspended more than 2 years ago for something I was not personally responsible for. I explained the circumstances but they would not budge.

Recently, after two years had passed, I again requested reinstatement and they turned it down! Talk about draconian!

However, in my case the offense was real (though I was not aware of it). If you did not do what they accuse you of you must persist until they acknowledge it and remove your ban. I contacted them by email through the help section and I did get a reply within 48 hours.

The bottom line is this: if you are clean then refuse to accept the ban. If there's anything to the accusation (even if you were ignorant of it) you may as well save your breath.

well i was reading around on the web and found similar "horror stories", i am still UNSURE what the reason is, but it MIGHT have to do with javascript redirects i use on my landing pages.

However, i use(d) those campaigns for months...so its just odd.

This comes also after i reduced my AW spending *significantly*, i set my account to ridiculous low daily budget after spending a BIG junk last month on ads. (TOO much

From that point of view i dont care, but what irks me is that "malware" statement which is so not true since its a far way from a javascript affiliate redirect to "malware" <---

The javascripts could be the reason why your account was suspended.

Google can be very cryptic about what the specific reason is. "Malware" could be just a blanket term they use for scripts they don't like.

Sometimes your campaigns can run for months even though you're doing something Google frowns upon, because Google's automated reviews didn't detect it. But many months later one of Google's human reviewers gets around to reviewing your site, and discovers that you're doing stuff that Google frowns upon, and then slaps your campaign or your account.

You could try removing the javascript redirects and then contact Google, wait until they review your site again, and see if they remove the suspension on your account.

Georg, it may be easier to just open a new adwords account while you are trying to fix your current one.

    George,

Sorry to hear your news, that's a bummer isn't it? However, your website has been hacked - discretely.

I used to have these problems from time to time, and it was related to various hackers inserting some discrete sql code in my website php and html files.

Go into the file manager for your website, and look at the php and html files in your root/public_html directory. Are any of the dates set to a date that YOU didn't access this material? If so, inspect the source code for each of these files carefully. Specifically look for any oddball <script> lines.

Once you are certain that you've cleaned each of these files, (make sure you've got them all), then go back to google, and load up their webmasters tools page.

Complete the part that requests that you are submitting this page to Google. (I don't remember the exact wording of this page, but basically you are asking Google to send their googlebot back to surf your site). Whenever this has happened to me in the past, they would always googlebot my site within 24 hours and remove the 'malware' flag.

    Good luck my friend,

Talltom sounds like he knows what he is talking about. I got banned for life from adsense by clicking on my own ads. Stupid of me
