Big Clickbank Seller Disappears

Hi,

Just wanted to ask if it is normal for a large clickbank seller (Health & Fitness category) to vanish overnight. I just added a bunch of info to promote this clickbank book on one of my sites because this one had the highest gravity, had been around for a long time etc. - mind you, the sales page came on a little too strong, but anyway, all their info has disappeared from the Clickbank Marketplace.

Have you seen this before ?

I sent an email to clickbank to see what the story is ...

Maybe they changed their category or description?
Is their sales page still up? Does is still redirect to Clickbank payment page?
If yes, then there is nothing to worry about.

    Hi Ken,
The Health and Fitness category in the Marketplace is still there. If you're referring to a particular product in the H & F category disappearing, it would be from complaints about the provider not returning funds when requesting one.

Clickbank issues refunds themselves. They don't ask the seller to do it.

That is why you always send them to your site first . That way if something like this occurs you can just simple edit the links to promote another program .

    Always plan ahead brother .

Hmm ... thanks for the tips - I just clicked on their buy now link and it leads to PayDotcom ? Yet, their affiliate materials tell you to use a clickbank ID. I also sent an email to the owner and he just got back to me as I speak ... he said his contact email was wrong and people were trying to contact him for refunds and they couldn't and there were problems with the download process.

I had just contacted him because the links in the brandable book were not working ...

I guess this is an "Affiliate Beware" situation at Clickbank, although I doubt that this happens that often.

I think I'll pick another product or two ...

Good idea sir . Make sure you point articles to a domain you own and then to the product you are promoting .

That way if a product really does disapear you just change the links on your website .

Which one disappeared ? I would prefer not to say to protect that fellow, even though I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt ...

I don't understand. Why protect that fellow? If he disappeared from Clickbank, he disappeared from Clickbank. Just state the facts - the merchant made the decision to leave Clickbank, so why does he need your protection?

In fact, you should tell us which merchant this is. Because there are probably many of us who still have Clickbank affiliate links pointing to his website, and we're paying money to advertise those links (not knowing he's no longer on Clickbank) - but we're no longer getting commissions because he's no longer on Clickbank.

So if anything, you should tell us who this merchant is, to protect the affiliates who are still sending traffic to now-defunct Clickbank affiliate links.

He may have get banned from clickbank for fraud. Ask clickbank about them, you have at least the right to know. I mean you used to promote it.

I guess that's a good point. Since I know of this and it might be hurting others unknowingly, I guess it is my duty to tell you. Since the product is not on clickbank anymore and it seems as if he is still allowing those links to point to his site, for now anyway, to save all of you some commissions, the product is the colon cleansing blueprint. Not sure of all the facts, so best to just take down your clickbank links and then decide if he has any other new links you an use if you still want to promote the product. It seems as though he is using PayDotCom now. Very odd situation, because that product was there a long time and had a very high gravity.

He said in his email to me that it was his first product, so maybe he made some mistakes and it has cost him - for example, a wrong contact email - maybe a typo or whatever - I don't really know. I know Clickbank issues the refunds, so not sure why he included that info in his email about people sending him emails looking for refunds and they couldn't reach him.

Is it difficult in some cases to request refunds from Clickbank and that is why people try and contact the seller ?

It's really the other way around.

ClickBank encourages the customers to contact the publisher
and supplies a contact address in their sales receipt.

This seems strange, not good for those promoting it surely?
