How do I get conversions for my first product.

I have just launched my first ClickBank Product. You can find it in my signature if you wish to check it out.

Basically, the product is a comprehensive eBook explaining with step-by-step instructions and images, how to make a website. This book is aimed at small busineses with little or no online exposure.

I am new to internet marketing and I have very little experience and knowledge. I haven't made a cent online and I have invested hundreds of dollars.

I need to increase traffic to my sales landing page significantly so I can begin making sales.

I have no idea where to begin. I don't even know which keywords to focus on. I would really appreciate it if someone could look at my landing page and give me some advice on what to do to gain conversions, as well as advice for on-site SEO (what keywords to target and how to optimise the website accordingly). I would also really appreciate some general traffic generating tips.

Thanks.

    Hi,

Are you building your list in anyway? You should attempt to collect email addresses so that you can market to them time and time again, it gives you the chance to build a relationship with potential clients.

Your headline needs to be a bit more compelling and grab the users attention....

Is the product about webdesign or getting customers? because there are conflicting lines in the first few paragraphs.

Have you got an ebook cover designed? Don't see it on the salespage.
Have you got a logo and header.....makes it look more professional.

In my opinion you need to tweak this page before you focus on getting the traffic....

If you want a hand tweaking the sales page send me a PM and I'll lend a hand.

    Regards

    Chris

Yes, first of all you should build your list AND make sales in the process. You might write a short report on how well designed website increases number of sales, for example (of course your own website MUST meet those standards!). Then you offer this free report for exchange of e-mail addresses.

Now, you have two options to drive traffic to your opt-in page

    1. Free traffic: safe lists, traffic exchanges, organic traffic (SEO), article marketing, social marketing, etc.

    2. Paid traffic: ppc, ppv, cpv, solo ads

Method No. 1 is free (or dirt cheap) but the results are adequate (lots of low quality traffic, except for organic traffic maybe).

Method No. 2 can be expensive, but brings the highest quality results, provided that you also have your sales funnel and follow up e-mails in place.

As for keywords, the simplest method is to put your main keyword/phrase in the Google Keywords Tool, and see what phrases have high search volume and low competition.

    Lots of success!

      Hey mate,

I am planning on my product soon and here is the few investments, I intend to make...

      1) Search Engine Optimization (There are many credible people in the Warrior Forum who can get you to the first ranking or almost near first ranking on Google with your focused keywords)
      2) Pay Per Click (Who wouldn't want a 0.01$ per traffic, that means 1000 targeted visitors for only 10$, if you don't make any money within that 1000 views thats gonna suck )
      3) Other than that you can go around targeted forums and talk to people with web page problems and put signatures there so that they can further understand more on web creation with your product

Above all that, did I mention that a list is super important!!!!! You can give them free tips and books to show your credibility first and also work on a super killer sales letter that is targeted to a desperate targeted audience! Your sales letter doesn't cry out enough desperation for others to get them.

      For example, you should try

DO YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH YOUR WEBPAGE AND IT LOOKS LIKE THIS:
(A picture of a plain and less attractive webpage)

WHY NOT CHANGE IT WITH MY METHODS SO THAT IT LOOKS LIKE THIS:
      (A picture of new webpage)

Thats about all my technique I will use for my niche! Great to have see that you finally have your first product! Hope you succeed! Cheers!

    @Brandon,

You reminded me of yet another low cost technique. Google out websites in your niche, and spot the ones with adsense ads on. Contact the webmasters and ask how much hey make on adsense per month from that site. If they say, e.g. $5 a month, offer them $7 to put your ad in place of the adsense ads.
It's not my idea, but also recommended by an expert Internet Marketer.

A little advice about the design: check top selling CB products and copy them.

Your buy now button is too small, you don't have and trust elements such as money back guarantee and testimonials. You also need to describe your product more.

And change your currency into USD.

    Sorry for offtopic

Well Robert thats a great idea but some may not like the idea as competition might ruin his business. I won't really promote some product with the same niche unless he gives me a big sum.

P.S. : Work on your sales letter, pagunston. It's quite bad and short FYI. I edited my last post to tell you about it just so you know.

Do you also have a blog for your niche in which you share great tips and resources?

The more you become an authority in your niche...the more likely people will buy what you choose to release.

I would say long tail buyer keywords related to your niche. "how to build your own website" would be a good one to start with perhaps? Or maybe the keywords used in your metatags? I'm not sure if these are the keywords that you were hoping to rank for or how you came up with them but matching your keyword tags to the keywords that you are hoping to rank for is a good place to start.

<metaname="keywords" content="How to make a website, web design, cheap, free, business, online, exposure, gladstone, qld" />

you could try a classified ad on the warrior forum or attract affiliates to your product by setting up an affiliate training system e.g pre written emails ,twitter ads ,facebook ads banner ads most of the can be outsourced on fiverr for you.
