Youtube Deleting Videos Related To Making Money Online

This actually recently came to my attention on a post on the forum about a week ago, and I looked for it but I couldn't find it.

At the first of the year, I'll be hosting my weekly tutorials for my members through Youtube for just a short while, while I'm working on my new website for the members to come together a bit more easily and more organized.

My videos are completely related to internet marketing and making money online, and I wouldn't want them to be deleted out of the blue, sense I have a large amount of loyal subscribers.

Maybe for the time being I will just have no choice but to go live with my webinars. I tried to do the live aspect for my members, but I wanted them to all be able to attend. So see, It's more of a schedule issue than anything really. So I figured I'd have my videos complete in the morning, so that my viewers can watch when they want.

Questions:

1. How do I avoid my videos getting deleted on Youtube?
2. Are there really any other alternatives to Youtube that wouldn't ban my tutorials?
3. Maybe someone has a better idea

If they are related to make money online and you use Youtube, it's probably just a matter of time before they are deleted. I'd find another video solution that's more permanent.

Do you keep your videos unlisted or open to public? I'm no expert, but trying to figure out myself too.

My videos are unlisted and private, sense I've charged my members for entrance!

If your videos are set to "private" then they probably (although can't be guaranteed) won't be deleted.

If they are videos meant for members only, then you are better off hosting them yourself. A lot of people use Amazon S3 for this purpose.

When did they start doing that? I see a lot of videos on You Tube that are about making money online?

Started well over 6 months ago. I know a highly respected marketer who had 100% original, quality videos (at least 60). One of them was titled Make Money Online and was the number 1 ranked video for that term.

His whole account was banned/deleted with no recourse. He ended up moving all his videos to Amazon S3 to keep control over them.

That's my biggest fear, so are you suggesting that I consider moving everything to Amazon S3?

How did that end up working out for him? Successful I hope...?

I can tell you from personal experience that I had my primary youtube channel deleted because apparently I was spamming?

          Hardly!

It is kind of sickening and scary to just wake up one morning with your channel gone. Not to mention one that is actually providing useful content to its subscribers and not all the make a million dollars fast BS we see all over youtube.

I guess sharing form my experience I would do whatever you can to protect your videos. Someone mentioned an Amazon alternative which sounds like possibly a good alternative.

          Goodluck!

Youtube had deleted several channels of videos about make money online niche. To be on the safe side open an account in Amazon S3.

    Cheers

I don't really blame You Tube for deleting channels and videos related to the term make money online. When it comes down to it that niche should be deleted all together. The method behind people making money online is related to skill building. Videos on copywrtiting will not be deleted because they hold value in building a skill that will allow you to make money online. Videos on traffic genertaion will not be deleted because that is another area that is relevant and helps marketers make money online. The actual term make money online has gained a horrible reputation from being looked at and acting like a big scam. Let me show you how to make money online by giving you broad free content and then funneling you in to make you pay me before I tell you all the details. Seems a bit ironic for every body inside the Make money niche. You tube will not delete you if you are helping people build the skills that help people make money online. Whatever you are talking about in the videos about making money online is related to building a skill over time. Why not take away the whole make money online related title and target it towards the skill.

Yep! YouTube is clamping down on "make money online" type channels. As they explain it, it is against their TOS. Like it or not, YT is their platform and property.

The without warning part may be harsh or even reprehensible, but that's reality. So I just continue to use the approach I have always used, provide solid educational (sometimes funny) videos on YouTube that are related to my business niches but not using the "make $$ online" labels. I move to that aspect of my pitch later on in the process. Then I use S3 to host my videos.

Hey, the YouTube 'make money online' horse is dead. DISMOUNT!! Then find another steed and move on.

I had no clue, I try to keep up on what is going in IM but never heard a thing about this. Ironically I was just getting ready to upload a whack of videos. Any suggestions of other IM friendly video sites? Like others I will be uploading the videos at S3 too, just in case.

This is one of the problems when it comes to video marketing. Sometimes YouTube will just delete videos even if they are originally made.

Youtube, owned by Google; think we all better get used to this. Interesting note from wikipedia 'Since July 2011, YouTube has been testing a new interface for the site called "Cosmic Panda".' What the heck are they up to? World domination! One could infer that China (hence the name) is who they are cleaning house for.(along with Google) or I could be wrong.

This is so true mate. This is the first thing that came into my mind.To tell you the truth i haven't noticed any Internet Marketing videos been deleted for any reason.

Unfortunately Internet Marketers have to deal with Google Panda,Youtube TOS,Paypal freezing accounts.Still some people gt confused and think that Internet Marketing is a total scam. They just can't understand.

The truth is that are a lot of scammers out there, there is a lot of MLM marketing with people losing money, there are of people using black hat methods to try to laugh at Google. So sad but so true

Just made all of my videos unlisted, this really sucks for IM'ers. Most of my videos are just demonstrating my products, but it would be a real pain to reupload everything again.

You guys are all missing the real culprit, take a look in the mirror!! 99% of Youtube bans, especially in the MMO niche, is from other IM'ers flagging your videos!! They have software that can search & identify their competition and then systematically flag your videos using multiple accounts, proxies and flags. When a video is flagged Youtube never views it, they just delete it. Get enough flags and your whole channel is deleted.

Isn't it something like get 4 flags and the channel gets deleted?

I guess there is no solution to this problem as Google don't have the manpower to manually monitor the millions of videos which get flagged.

        Actually there is a solution.

All you have to do is make sure that you are really giving value to your Youtube Subscribers.

Then if you get banned, they will complain in order to get your channel restore. I believe that is the case with ProBlogger and a marketer named Tiffany Dow.

So maybe to qualify, it is best to say that there is no easy to quick solution.

Not sure the exact numbers. Youtube PVA accounts are sold on fivver by the thousands, some are used to get your competition banned and some are used to spam Youtube with thousands of videos per day. You can now spin one video into 200, rename, retag, re-upload to multiple accounts using proxies. That's what they're doing now. Anyone doing just one little video per day is reading the WSOs written by people who've never done it.
        Just my 2 cents though.

    I agree with 'been there'

I think that auto- banning is crazy, for example
someone may have made a video 'make money by selling your crafts on etsy'
or 'make money from unwanted furniture' and also get caught in the trap and have to appeal.

There are a lot of options for video hosting. A lot depends on what your needs are and how much development you are open to I use both yt and private hosting (not s3) because there are a lot of features I need beyond just the basics that s3 provides.
