**A Question for All AutoBloggers**

For all those who are autoblogging using Yahoo Pipes, Datafeeds and combining different RSS feeds, have you had any problems with folks contacting you on their content being on your site without their permission? My friend tried autoblogging and basically it came up as snippets of article summaries on his blog. He received a nasty email from a content owner even though it was a 100 word snippet with a link to his blog.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion. I think that's what he did. I have never really tried Autoblogging but when I heard from my buddy, it just made me wonder if I should dabble in autoblogging as well. Just wondering legally, can anyone sue you for use snippets even though you have links pointing to the source?

      Thanks,
      Dan

Thanks Simms. I will look around to find out if there are any legal concerns regarding this matter.

My take on it is that they (in most cases) knowingly added their feed so they want people to find it.

I do not include a link to the source in the post, but I do usually add a link to their blog elsewhere on my site.

Been autoblogging for 4 months with 2 posts added to my blog per day, only 1 person has contacted me to remove their post.

Isn't Yahoo and the others taking the RSS feeds the site owners are providing? If they provide RSS feeds and then complain that someone is accepting it they must not know what RSS is and the point of it. I would have to ask them didn't you provide the RSS? What did you expect it to be used for if not to be used.

This is one of those, no matter what you do, someone will complain sooner or later.
