Hey,
I am looking to change my website hosting company and the obvious ones that stand out to me are godaddy (who I have my domains with) and hostgator.
I have been swaying more in the direction of godaddy hosting, just because of the slightly cheaper price and that fact that it is where I have all of my domains. However, whenever I add the hosting package to my cart and go to make payment I get a notification saying that the price of the package has changed! They charge me a considerable amount more too!
I am familiar with godaddy tracking what domains you are checking out on your site and then bumping their prices a little, but I just wondered if I am experiencing the same thing? When I clear my cache and cookies, the page returns to the original price but then whenever I go to make payment it changes!
Does anybody have any info about if they are actually making changes at the moment or are they trying to make a few extra dollars from me ! ?

Thanks!

My advice - don't buy hosting at godaddy.

They are not easy to manage on the back end.

      Thanks for your reply.
I can't believe that when I clear my cookies the price goes down but then they just increase it when I get to checkout. It's happened at least five times before you commented so I won't be going with them!
Yeah, I noticed that their support wasn't too good.
I sent a support request and they replied with reference to something completely different. The same question was sent to hostgator about changing all of my websites to them and they sent me a detailed reply very quickly.

I can't comment on GoDaddy hosting, because I have never used them for hosting.

But, I do use Hostgator and I am very happy with them.....especially their customer support. They are very quick and responsive 24 hours a day.

As I said below, I have contacted hostgator support and then have been quick and efficient in their reply telling me exactly what I wanted to know!
All good then, I will be getting some hosting for all my sites very soon.

      Thanks!
