Creating a new website from existing page.
I need advice on using content from an existing amazon website of mine to create a new website.
I bought the domain for the existing site about a year and a half ago when the search volume was higher...or maybe I even made the mistake of going by the broad searches instead of the exact ones. I don't even remember. Anyway, this site has been on page #1 on and off, but has never gotten more than 20-30 page views per day.
To try to make this situation better, I created related pages with much better keywords, but the traffic for the site has never improved. The related pages haven't come close to page #1, even though I have some keywords with high exact search volume.
Honestly, I haven't been motivated enough to market these other pages, since they're tied to this useless domain, which doesn't expire until May, 2012. The competition for the better keywords is much more serious, and I feel like I need the advantage of a better domain and url. The page I want to use is #62 right now in Scroogle Scraper. The highest it's been is page #3, but it dropped back quickly.
If I bought a new domain and created a whole new site from one of the related pages, and made related pages off of that, I think I could have something worthwhile.
Is there a length of time I should wait after deleting the page I want from the existing site before I use it again? Are there issues with what I want to do that I should know about?
Or should I not even do this, and just get more serious about marketing these other pages?
