FB Connect vs Email signup for a website?

Hi WF'ers...

Have any of you seen any statistics or other data about the use of Facebook Connect versus traditional email signup for a website?

The kind of things I am interested ind:
If both options are available, what rate does a person choose one over the other?
If only Facebook Connect is available, what is the bounce rate?

Thanks alot for all your input!

I was searching for a similar thread for you as you question has been asked earlier. Can't seem to find it still. Will do my best to get back to you, once I've found the thread.

So far, I haven't as well. It depends on what the website is about. It will have different effects depending on the site's main purpose. Best thing to do is to split test. If it's for a business tho, I would recommend trying both out.

I've tried both.....and this is what I have resorted to doing on some of my sites....

On my website...BOTH i simply put a connect button and then have "Or enter you name and email" then the optin.

On my facebook page: the connect button only

Ive seen an increase in my optins since ive used this method.....so it seems to work for me!

    Kind regards

    Chris
