A service that I want to offer my clients is Blog creation and maintenance. I currently use WP for my own blogs. What if I get a client who doesn't have a WP site?

What is the best way to integrate a WP blog with a static html site and manage it seamlessly for a client?

Thanks

You can install a WP into a sub directory on their site (IE. examplesite.com/blog), put up that link in the nav bar and voila.

Of course you might have to do a custom theme if they want everything to look seemless.

That's not difficult. Just install WP into a subdirectory. You can make WP look like anything you choose, depending on the theme you're using. With a header image that matches the rest of the site, and a little tinkering, their blog will look like a natural part of their site.

Just add "Blog" to the navigation on the HTML site, and site visitors will be taken to the blog. Of course, you'll add the link to the main site on the WP's navigation too...

I've done this many times for clients. Everyone's happy, and the blog looks like an integral part of the site.

That's exactly what I did for my own blog, and it really is as easy as Angela says (and, trust me, I am no tech whiz! ) As long as you tinker with the header, it will look just like the rest of the main site.

I use Expression Web 4 and WordPress and it is amazing all the things you can do and none of it is hard to learn.
I also find that Google and I get along alot better to.
