INTERNET MARKETING

one of our buddies, David Gonzalez, will be hosting/organizing some easy going networking events here in Austin soon. From what I gather, it'll be a casual hang-out thing where marketers can meet and just have a good time talking shop and stuff.

I'm not sure where the first one will be held at (maybe my office, but it's out in Lakeway - about 30 minutes from downtown) so I'll let Warriors know, in case you want to come hang out.

There are a lot of marketers around here, and I'm sure some will even fly in for some of these mixers. Knowing David and the rest of the folks starting these, I'm sure they will be tons of fun.

I'll update this thread when I find out more.

I might be able to attend. Depends on the date and the time. I live in the San Antonio area, so it will take me a couple of hours to get there.

Hey Eric and all other Texan-warriors:

There's a ton of interest in this and it's looking like not only fun but also a bunch of non-DR IM'ers are coming out of the wood-work to join us too. Some folks who do Internet marketing for Dell, Samsung and other big corps and webfirms in and around Austin have said they'd be there. Should be an eclectic mix.

Eric thanks for posting this on here.

We may even have a surprise 'celebrity' guest who might be in town for some other business. Can't say who yet... but let's just say that if he shows, you'll wish you were there!

awww, that sucks! I looked up your site (impressive stuff). a kick-ass copywriter is always a good thing.

Dadgumit, Eric, you just don't quit, do you? I KNOW you want to see me. I KNOW you want to hang out with me. I KNOW you could be more like me. I KNOW... but you are going to have to wait until I am ready!

I'm just not ready yet! But don't you worry... the Hillbilly Marketer, Colonel Beauregard T. Jackson-Lee and I will move back down there to stay sometime in the future. THEN, me and you can hang out together, go to the park, teeter-totter and play on the merry-go-round together.

Oh, the fun we will have!

  This is a serious situation that deserves respect...... dignity.... resolve.... maturity..... and character. Yet, you guys are talking about swing sets and playground amusement. I swear. The harder I try the more I wonder what I'm doing. I just dont know. I just dont know. This is business folks. BIZZZ NIZZZ.

Eric, dude, I KNEW you were from Louisiana! No honest-to-goodness Texan would see a picture of a rifle and call it a "six shooter!" That's like calling Dracula a mosquito!
