I think this method of registering a domain and redirecting it to affiliate site with the domain name in the article, is already allowed. No?

not redirect, but MASKING especially when you have .info (cheap) domain like the main product name.

I thought it was impossible and that ezinearticles would have a cow.

I'm impressed, thanks for the tip.

Yep, it's already a very commonly used method
and it's even allowed on EzineArticles for a top
    domain redirect.

One might slip through - it would be interesting to see if your "luck" persists over time.

If I understand it correctly, you have a link to your site, which then redirects to the affiliate offer.
Well, as already said you *are* permitted to do essentially that as long as it is from the top domain rather than a page under the domain - just read the rules at EzineArticles.

And what difference, pray tell, does it make? As the others have pointed out, ezinearticles allows redirects from top level domains to affiliate links, and apparently make no distinction between redirects and masks.

I don't know why you're so breathless over this, unless you think you're getting away with something. One thing that masking does, though, is get you banned from this forum when you use masks to cover up the affiliate link in your sig file.

Will you MMM people never learn?

I have been doing this for a very long time. It IS allowed. After reading their rules I confirmed it with them to make sure my articles would not be fried later on and leave me in a big mess.

I also know of a lot of other people who use this method. It's a cheap way of testing traffic before you put in all the effort of getting a landing page up and widening your sales funnel.
