What is Youtube's Problem With Online Marketers?

Hello Warriors,

Why have so many internet marketers Youtube channels been shut down and what can other marketers do to avoid it from happening to them?

I have seen countless accounts of ethical internet marketers losing their Youtube channels and there doesn't seem to be a logical explanation as to why.

I realize that you can upload videos to other sites similar to Youtube but none of them get nearly as much traffic.

How can internet marketers avoid getting their Youtube channels shut down?

Thanks,
Dan

Money claims is what You Tube's problem is. 98% fail for online marketing. Making any money claims is disrespectful to the average Joe because chances are they are going to fail. Out of 1000 people 20 will succeed. You Tube is simply saying how dare you promise all those 980 failures success. You cannot do that. Promise them enhancement in a skill that they can keep advancing and keep growing. They will not ban you for that.

It's all to optimize the Youtube experience. There has to be some extra security on MMO claims for obvious reasons. The daily claims that we see here (make $5,987 in 2 hours while eating pizza) aren't given any leniency on Youtube and rightfully so.

  • It's not YouTube's problem, the problem is of quality and reliability. Being the number one video sharing site with over a million members using daily how come it could accept spamming videos offering and assuring fake services and benefits. James is completely right! I too use you Tube, I never got banned and the reason is only that I most of the time post informative videos, this of my move too is for marketing but it is something which works from both ways. Now a days you consider anything whether it is television advertisements or any other most of them are doing in direct marketing where there first create your interest of knowing what is it and then they show themselves.

I'd say the problem is Google didn't spend $1.6 BILLION to buy
You Tube so they could provide a free advertising platform for us.

Hmm, Google are rather selfish arent they..

My advice would be, if you cant do it on Adwords you cant do it on YouTube..They do offer a PPC service afer all..

Exactly. For some reason many so-called "marketers" think that Youtube is theirs to rape. In fact, it's not, they are using it at Google's pleasure.

While there are many legitimate marketers using YouTube to provide valuable information, there are also a big contingent of liars, scammers and cheats. Many of whom wrap themselves in the mantle of 'online marketer'; it's very similar to pyramid schemes calling themselves 'network marketing opportunities'.

And the result is the same - if it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck and flies with ducks, it might not be a duck. But that's the smart money bet.

If you insist on flying with the dirty ducks, don't be surprised when people start shooting at you...

Probably the only thing you can do to avoid getting shut down is to make them private.

Why are they deleting Make Money Online channels? They don't want them. They consider them low value and see no reason to foot the bill in bandwidth for Internet marketers advertising. If I were Youtube, I wouldn't either.

I am very new in this internet marketing game. But I never faced this kind of problem on YouTube. Although, the only thing I didn't know was whether YouTube traffic valuable or not.

I made some videos on Money Making ONLINE thing also. But I read in this forum that always provide "VALUE". I did that in my every video of different niches... My videos are still running successfully.

I provide VALUE in my videos... and almost it's like minimum 30 visits daily on my website from 400 YouTube views.

But it took time to do that... I made one video in one entire day just for providing value to the people. And I think ... without list, I have made 250$ just from those 30 videos, within 2 months... (maybe my niche was good)

I feel YouTube do not block affiliate links... YouTube shutdowns bad videos/channels, which only promote and never provide value.

I am very new and now trying to build a list ... But the posts of senior members of here, helped me alot. And, I only concentrated on providing "REAL VALUE" to the viewers. THATS HOW I WON...

ProBlogger thinks he provides VALUE in his videos also and they deleted his channel. Because he is so highly popular with a vast following who complained to Youtube, they restored it.

If your videos are in the Make Money Online category, I'd get moving. It's just a matter of time before they get them.

You are saying right... let's see. I have positive hopes because I do not make videos straightly on 'Make Money Online'. I do paper work before making and use story to make viewers understand. It's like a 'Short Film/Story' of about 4 to 5 minutes on making money online. I tried my best to use the creative concepts in it and make it attractive.

But you are right, I am new and you are experience in this game. I read your posts also, those were very helpful. Probably, it's just a matter of time. But your advice will definitely help me to be more secure with videos.

Actually, before making those videos I had idea that YouTube is behind 'Make Money Online' niche. I just took a risk and wanted to try it as a challenge; Let's see what happens with my videos in future.

Most of the Youtube bans are from your competitors flagging your videos. If you are in the Make Money Online it's 99% your competitors flagging you. There is even a software that can search and flag on autopilot. If you stay out of that niche you'll get way less bans. When a video is flagged, most of the time Youtube never even looks at it, it's banned automatically. Another ban-happy niche is the Movie/TV show niche, steer clear of that one as well.

PS. Here is a person that is involved in the "flagging war" looking to get a bot created to fight back: http://www.scriptlance.com/projects/1273432797.shtml
The software already exists and is being abused heavily on Youtube in the MMO niche.

My is guess is, Youtube notices that many of those MMO products are scams. I hate to say it, but, if you are in the IM niche, that's the crowd you will be generalized in even if you're one of the good guys. So, rather than waste time and resources to check them out individually, they just ban all of them all together. I would too. It's nothing personal, they are just trying to protect their business.

If your videos were that important to a mass crowd, they would complain and Youtube would realize their mistake and restore the account like they did in Problogger's case.

I've lost some serious lead generators myself to flagging fools in other venues.

Unfortunately, as frustrating as flagging competitors are, no one has yet invented a hunt-and-seek bot for those that do.

My guess is that in many cases it's because they're non-FTC-compliant scammers whose businesses leave a lot to be desired in the first place and they're abusing YouTube's hospitality for their own commercial purposes as well.

They can stop making income claims, stop breaching FTC regulations and try to enhance our collective reputations as internet marketers instead of further besmirching them. And stop abusing other sites' hospitality for their own commercial purposes as well.

If you really want to take advantage of youtube, create good content. It's really that simple. There are many internet marketers with successful youtube channels. They're providing quality information and actually contributing to the youtube community.

That's because many so called internet marketers are shamelessly using Youtube for promotion of products that are far away from giving out a real value... because of those suckers we all in internet marketing niche are labeled as scammers / spammers ... that is why internet marketing niche is so much under constant "investigation" and "shuts down"...

In my opinion, there shouldn't be a lot of promotion with youtube videos... use them wisely and you probably won't experience any important problems...

Google, YouTube.......they want to provide the most relevant things that you are searching for fast......that give the user what they want.......that adds value.

Notice no ads on Google.com just a pretty blank page with a big search box. They are the number one search provider for a reason......and last I checked YouTube was number 2 or 3...

Do not forget that Google has bought Youtube a couple of years ago..So, if the big G doesn't like Intenet Marketers so does Youtube. They are a lot of scammers among us, a lot of black hatters that try to laugh at Google. So Google/Youtube thinks of marketers videos as low value content.

I don't think there's much you can do to keep your IM videos alive on Youtube nor there is a good alternative getting enough traffic as Youtube does.

YouTube/Google ONLY cares about themselves. They don't give a crap that their site is riddled with obnoxious paid ads and comments filled with hatred as long as they are making Moolah. Independent marketers (such as ourselves) are the competition and they will wack you out of their game as soon as they can. This also goes for Google Ads... lot's of marketers are getting the boot - - unless you are a big company that they can suck up to.

Steve Jobs warned us about Google/Android and all their crap.

The problem is the bad quality of the video and their sole intention to get people to click on the link.

I think the whole youtube community is doing pretty well by disabling those accounts. I didn't see many spammy videos in a long time.

I would recommend not putting many videos on one channel.
You can get banned anytime. So just secure yourself and your work - spread and diversify.

I think we will be seeing more bans in money making niches in the future.
