Video Embed on Forum Not Working?

Hey Warriors,

I'm trying to embed a video onto a post and it always comes up with just the link. I'm posting the video URL and when I publish it just shows the link.

I have the box with "automatically embed..." checked in advanced edit.

I'm using a YouTube video. Am I doing something wrong?

Also, can you embed videos from other services, like Viddler?

All you need to do is directly post the link.

no need for script or embedding

just copy the link, paste and post.

And as far as I know you cannot do that with any other platforms other than youtube

Even after posting it you still only see the link? If you're in edit mode you'll see the link but once post it the video will be embedded.

You can try it out in the test forum if you want to double check before posting it.

If you have already posted I would copy the YouTube URL into notepad than paste it in the post just to make sure there isn't any funky characters added to it.

I tried posting viddler but it didn't work so I don't think you can. At least I couldn't figure it out.

I got it! When I was previewing, it would show it up, but when I posted it didn't. It was because I had to recheck those two fields AGAIN even after I previewed with them on. All good.
