Did all your fans "want" to be there? By that I mean, they werent bribed to like the page?

Buying fans does not normally work very well. Using Facebook ads is ok but buying fans usually results in fans that don't want to be there. You want passionate fans.

This must take some time before your fans find you worthy of following into paid offers.

On the other hand, remember that facebook is for socializing, bragging, showing off and the like. People are not there to buy stuff or to be sold stuff.

You say they react hot on the video. Then put some description to the video, squeeze the link to your offer in it and wait for results.

E.g. Video of a very good batter with a comment (again example only): "Wow, [player name] is really great, just look at his scores. Are yours similar? Click here to see why?" and of course "click here" is your link to "how to be better at bat" course or whatever. Sorry if I miss the terminology, but I do not know anything about baseball first thing.

One more thing: do cloak your links, do not put raw clickbank links as this also turns people off.

BTW: You are not losing money, this is called investment

Most probably on of the WSOs on Facebook ads for 0.01 per click (and it works , and I feel tempted to put my affiliate link here )

It's probably because the people that are arriving on your Facebook fanpage don't have a chequebook in their hand ready to buy something. They might be curious and have a look at what's on offer, but the target market hasn't been met hence your results.

          Hey boards100,

I haven't personally used this strategy, but I know several very successful entrepreneurs who are making good money with CPA offers on facebook. I guess this may be effective because with CPA (Cost per Action), the fans don't actually have to buy anything. You get paid everytime one of your fans complete a survey, or sign-up to a newsletter etc.

So you could still continue doing what you are doing, but try post some CPA offers to your fan page as well. Let us know how it goes!

I think I can see the problem. You are assuming someone who likes a particular baseball player is also going to be interested in learning how to play baseball themselves. It's not the case.

Think about how many people watch tennis but are not interested in playing the game.
Think about how many people watch golf but are not interested in playing the game.
Think about how many people watch bands but are not interested in playing an instrument.
Think about how many people like food but are not interested in cooking.

On and on it could go.

There are several sports I like to watch but would never want to learn to play.

You would probably have better luck if you pushed the merchandise side of things more or even if you could find some related CPA offers.

You should gain fans, post interesting content and pictures, then maybe an article with your affiliate link in.

It just needs some time to get some sales.I ve read somewhere that a sale is being finalized after the buyer has been approached to buy the service/product, a total of 7 times. That means that you just don't try to sell something immediately to someone even though he likes it.

You just have to build value to your fans, giving something away for free and then try to sell them something.

That is why it's important to do a full research before you start some project... Facebook traffic is not always ready to buy... Facebook is not a website where people ready to buy hang out... therefore with Facebook traffic you need different strategy... CPA offers works good, but you must have related offers... that's why research is necessary... also, with Facebook you need to invest more time in attracting people to you, your group, your subject, before you try to convert them...

Facebook traffic doesn't convert as good as SEO and google. You can sell but you need lots of traffic to sell very little.

Look for WSO by SimpleSpencer: One Penny Clicks 2.0 (Oh, offer closed, sorry )

The OP may use another system as there were a few of them, but I tried this one and it worked for me too.

It sounds like you are using your fan page too much like just an advertising billboard. That's not what FB people want. They want interaction. They want interesting facts and information. They want videos. You need to build a relationship with your fans. If all they see posted from you is affiliate link after affiliate link, they aren't going to pay any attention to your posts, and will probably even unlike your page. Facebook is a SOCIAL network. You have to be SOCIAL. People can see through non-genuine advertising and affiliate tactics.

Why don't you go down the Facebook "notes" route..........

      >> Upload the free app or type "notes" in to your FB search bar
      >> Choosing a keyword title in your niche
      >> Write relevant content
      >> Upload related images and wrap the UR; address around your images
      >> Use the HTML facility to wrap the URL you want around your anchor text
      >> Publish and make public to the search engines

It usually takes approx. 3 to 4 weeks to get a page indexed by Google, but because Facebook is a PR10 website, the majority of "notes" are ranked very highly indeed.

Fans are not necessarily buyers. They are fans.

Instead of targeting fans, you should be targeting dedicated fans, but more importantly people who buy things.

They liked your page because they liked the player not because they wanted to be marketed to You can't just start shoving products down these people's throats or they won't trust you. Build a rapport with the people. Try questions asking where that player ranks among the greatest ever or if they think that team will make the playoffs next year. A connection usually has to be made.
