I have been a stock market and real estate investor for over 15 years, primarily funded by IM.

Just like stocks, the best times to be buying real estate is now. In the US, and perhaps elsewhere, real estate prices and interest rates are the lowest in decades.

i started trading stocks when i was 18 years old with income from my IM ventures. I have made several times more money with stocks than i ever made online. i actually trade mostly in stock options, which is generally considered more risky so i dont advise it unless you really know what you are doing.

Why do you consider options riskier than stocks? Options, if traded correctly, offer lower risk with greater returns. ie..pre-defined max loss, unlimited reward. For hedging they are excellent as well.

I used to trade equities and CFD's Lost it all unfortunately. In todays world there is too much fishy, corrupt things going on. Personally I will stay away from Shares, too volatile now. Online marketing is so much better and less stressful

I trade options and have had a nice profit last month and this month. The beauty with options you can play both sides of the market. If anyone is interested in doing a jv pm me. Not saying you will make six figures in two months, but at least 1-2k per month.

Never done this yet, but I would like one day to create a product about the stock market.

Internet Marketing is a job/business at the end of the day. If you make a some extra income you can save it or invest it.

I have been reading up some stock investing books lately - thinking of investing my IM income into stocks, probably using Buffet's technique (value investing). I will probably start in 2012.

Investing in the market, especially now, requires the ability to evaluate companies so that you can make reasonable decisions. I continue to invest on a regular basis when I find a company that I like.

I suggest following many of the techniques developed by Phil Town. He breaks down the hard part of investigating in and investing in companies that you can make you money. Have I ever lost money in the stock market using these techniques? The answer is no. I have not.

But then again I started with a very small amount and have slowly built a retirement fund that allowed me to retire at age 49. Do I still work? Yes I do, harder than I ever worked before, but now that all my children are gone from home, work is my hobby.

I tried short term trading and made money with it, but at the end of the day it's just another J-O-B. You have to sit there and monitor the markets. I'd rather focus on building my business.

These days the US stock market is so news driven that if you want to invest, you'd better pick the right stocks and have a conservative long term horizon. The market could either quickly drop or rise 10 to 20% from here depending on what decisions are made over in Europe.

Risky task and would require a lot of time to monitor them,up and downs. Not recommended until you have great success with IM.

I am actually activly invovled with the internet market niches, stockmarket and gold bullion niches.

I do invest myself and was a floor broker in sydney back in the day.

I think we are in for a very turbulent year on the stockmarket next year. SO make sure you study up what you are doing if you are going to invest. Otherwise you will lose your shirt. But for the right person who knows what they are doing, you can make money in many investment areas in the next few years...especially the green, alt energy.

    Just my two bob!!

I got into stock investing in December last year and was up nearly 60% but was greedy and didn't take any profits. Share price dropped but I still managed a small profit.

That company I invested in is called Gulf Keystone Petroleum. SP right now is about £2.50 but on fundamentals the stock is worth £~8 per share. Bargain shares right now. Stock is volatile as its oil shaires. They are sitting on billion barrels of oil so the will get taken over at some point. You just gotta hold.

My stock tip is on a company called red emperor resources
RED EMPEROR RESOURCES NL ORD NPV (DI): LON:RMP quotes & news - Google Finance. I bought in at 39p, its 50p now.

Share price will be about a £1 in a few weeks when they strike oil. Once RMP gets taken over, I'll be back in GKP for another takeover.

So while IM is a great way to make money, stock investing is another way to make some $$$ but you need to research and know why you invested in the first place.

I'll be back to update you guys. As with anything in life, do your own research and
    due diligence.

Nowadays, Shares are traded electronically today and so investing online and offline matters the same. The process is done by any brokerage firms.

I tried share marketing but wasn't successful. I agree with many that it is too volatile and it made me sooo stressed out. I wouldn't advice it especially if you have no knowledge. You just might lose all your profits.

Nice to see a healthy conversation in my industry which made me start to think...

Why Do Internet Marketing Warrior's Make Good Stock Traders?

    Answer

    - Your a Gambler

That is always betting on Internet marketing campaigns

    But You Tend To:
Base decisions off what the web analytic stats tell you. Which is kind of like studying stock charts

    - Your NOT a 9 to 5 'er

Dead end corporate folks tend to pick low risk small reward 401k, bonds & CD type portfolio. Just like scaling an ad campaign, your not looking for 5% gain in a year, your looking to achieve what takes the average person a year to create.....in less then a few days.

    - Your driven to learn new strategies

Your constantly researching new traffic strategies just like a stock traders study company financials.

What else do you think makes Internet marketers a solid foundation to trade stocks?
