Recurring billing question

I am looking for anyone that has experience with recurring billing systems.

I will be starting my business in the next few weeks, and I will be offering various service levels ranging from $20 to several hundred dollars per month. I would like to offer discounts to anyone who pays three, six or twelve months in advance.

Is there any system out there that can handle recurring billing that is either monthly, quarterly, yearly?

PayPal offers a fantastic recurring billing platform and subscription service. Check it out!

I have only worked with paypal from the "consumer" side, and very rarely selling on Ebay. My experiences with them haven't been very good. It seems like any time I would send them an e-mail I would get a generic response that most of the time had nothing to do with my question or problem.

Are they any better to work with on the "merchant" side?

Paypal is excellent to work with as a consumer and/or merchant. Some people complain about them but that is because these people did not followed their guidelines. You can actually call paypal and talk to a real human if you have questions or concerns about how to set up your business.

Yes, Paypal offers recurring billing. You won't face any problems, unless your sales volume increases suddenly.
If you are expecting a flood of traffic, make sure that you email them and explain to them that there will be a spike in sales. Otherwise, they may suspend your account temporarily.
