Hey folks.

I'm considering putting a blog on one of my sites as a sort of bolt-on content system.

I'm wondering what you guys think is the best way to approach comments, in terms of being easy to maintain and SEO friendly.

I have read that Google likes a fair amount of healthy discussion, but I know Wordpress is a spam magnet.

Is there a reliable system of keeping robots out of your comment area?
(ie captchya things or whatever its called.)

Also, is something like "CommentLuv" a good idea to encourage constructive comments?

Basically, I would ieally like a low maintenance comment system that discourages spam, and encourages high quality comments.

Thanks for any advice on this subject.

Wordpress comes with the akismet plugin pre installed. It's without a doubt the best anti spam solution. I never have spam on any of my wordpress based websites.

    Hey Condra,

I like 'WP Spam Free' plugin.
    It blocks most spam comments.

You may also want to check out
    PC Robots.txt plugin.

It blocks a lot of spam type robots.

    Hope this helps
