Should I Make a "company"?

When I apply for affiliate programs and cpa networks, there is always a field asking for company name and/or company website. I was wondering should I make a company-looking website and say its my company or what? How should I go about this? For example, make a site called Awesomeinternetmarketing.com and say my company's name is awesome internet marketing even though its just me doing the marketing.

Technically, (I'm not a lawyer) you should register a trade name if you are planning to use a company name of some kind.

Personally I was able to do this at my town hall years ago and it cost a whopping 5 dollars - but this fee may vary depending on where you live.

This can allow you to open a business bank account and do business under that name.

Also by registering a business you can become eligible for certain tax deductions.

I'd recommend you talk to a local tax consultant/accountant.

    it depends.

if u want to let people promote ur stuff or whether u want to promote people's stuff.

if u are promoting meaning u are the affiliate then u dont need that field.

if u are the one who needs affiliates then that field is needed and u can fill in your website name.
