Make money on FB fan pages??

Recently I ventured into building FB fan pages. I've developed an effective way of getting targeted fans who are also active on the page. However in doing some searches on this forum, I've found mixed results as far as people being able to actually make money from there fan pages. There were quite a few posts I found from people with pages in the 100,000K range who were unable to make any money on them.

My question is: are there any people out there who actually make significant money from there fan pages? The reason I ask is because I don't want to waste a lot of time building pages with 50,000K active users, just to find out I won't be able to make money..... Time is money you know!!! Thoughts!?!

    Unfortunately I have not got an answer to your actual question, however I am curious to know how you get targeted, active users on your fan page? What is your primary method? FB ads? Free methods?

    wow u have 50,000K ACTIVE USERS :O thats more than billions... u can easily make money using them for sure ha ha

    well yes you can make money from your fans..but i suggest you softly monetize..you shouldnt be too hard on them

      Sorry about that. Meant my goal was 50K. I actually have a ways to go to get there, but I know my method of getting targeted fans works, I just need to ramp it up. Slow & steady wins the race after all!

      What do you mean by "softly monetize"? My plan is to still post quality, relevant content 3-4 times a day. I would only post an affiliate link once every day or 2. Also ... with my affiliate link I would also post a sentience or 2 of relevant content along with a picture. I've seen this don't with other pages in my niche, I just don't know how effective this is.

      Have you made money on FB pages?

        Face book marketing is all about branding. It INDIRECTLY can earn you income. And yes also can earn you some direct income as well, but the main focus of FB marketing is really just branding and getting your name out there, creating a list of potential buyers and keeping in touch with them. Letting them see your out there. Its also great for new people to find you. Kind of like the yellow pages. It's not a thing of the past but FB and other alike are now the new "yellow pages." It adds credibility, offers information and so much more. So YES people are making money with FB and Fan pages.

    if you can get 50,000 followers then you bound to make some money. I do know people with pages that made decent money from them. Roughly $200 days

      You can actually sell products though facebook and a fan page, the payment processor being FB credits which would be a strong way of monetizing the page.

      Assuming you make it to 50k active users, you would also have no problem finding somebody to pay a reasonable amount for a sponsored message or post
