I just started building a list last September after years deciding whether its worth it. I took the plunge and purchased to Aweber. So far, I've collected around 70 subscribers and made around 1200 dollars. Not bad at all

The saying "The money is in the list" is very true. I was not that active sending out emails but out of the 3 automated emails that I sent, a few purchased the service that I was providing so yeah, i plan to expand my list further and provide more value to my subscribers.

I had a site running for about a year selling a MLM product. Unfortunately, that didn't work out. So on September, I decided to turn the site into an optin page. It is a single page blog using Wordpress. I use Matt Carter's free wordpress theme.

I am at number one for the 2 keywords that I target on Google, so that did help me get some traffic to the optin page. The conversion rate sucks because out several hundreds of visits per month, only about 70 subscribed but thankfully, these are high quality leads who are eager to spend money

I've been building a list for the last few months.

I've gotten up to 912 subscribers and have made $175 (7 sales) this month.

My advice is to check out a guy called ben settle (bensettle.com) and follow his technique for writing emails.

A small contribution from me.....one of my hobbies is horse racing (but I can't catch them though they are too fast for me......HA HA).

Three months ago I set up a simple squeeze page for a free ebook I'd put together on a particular aspect of UK horse racing monetisng it through related (and also free) CPA offers on the download page.

Through a few ad swaps with other list owners in that niche I have a built a new list of 1,418 subscribers (209 of which have arrived today via ad ad swap) and made the equivalent of around $1000 from the free CPA stuff.

It can be done - stick at it.

    Thanks,

    Andy.

    I went to a forum.
I share what people love to hear.
    I share a lot.
Then, I had my squeeze page inside signature.
Everyday, I got new subscribers, and it happen until today.

Sometime, whenever I need money, I just email to mylist, again with things they want to listen.

I make them happy and last, at the end, I've my product website at the bottom of the email. Ka ching, I never have to go to my account, yet I got money at my pocket.

When I first started list building it was from a $7 clickbank product I launched. In the first month I was able to get around 400 people on my list and made around $3000 through promoting affiliate products, which was more than I made from my clickbank product. Just proof that the money really is in the list.

I have several lists for several different niches. I've been marketing online since 2003 or so. What I've learned is that it's not only about the size of the list... it's important to have a list of people who are interested in what you have to say (and trust you and your opinion), or as Seth Godin would say, a 'dedicated tribe' of followers. Also, it's important that the people you are targeting are a demographic who are willing to spend money.

I have built a list of 7k over the last year. The money is definitely in the list, if your not building one you are losing out big time.

I've been internet marketing for about 18 months...

The other day I deleted 23K "dead" emails from one of my autoresponder accounts...

So, I've got a decent sized and responsive (the important thing) list...

Stick with it - it's slow at first - but once it starts growing it grows like mad

I'd love to do a test and try things out but don't want to waste to much money.
How could I do this the cheapest way?

Any suggestions? I know you might say that some money has to be spend to get setup properly and I underhand this but I'd like to play with this and see for myself that it can make money and when I see that then I'm ready to invest and do it properly.

This might sound studpid, if it does then please tell me but I just felt like trying..

So anyone could suggest me how to get setup cheaply pure for testing the list building system?

    Thanks,
    V

You can search for "Subscriber Bonanza" in the WSO section or if you are a War Room member you can get it in there. It is by Kelvin Nikkel and it shows a system he used to get 4,000 subscribers in only a month using free methods.

    how about this one.

From my first 2k list on a non IM niche, i was able to create a launch of $27,000 in just 3 days. I had the help of 2 warriors in here...and I quit my job after this. Now not all of that $27,000 way mine, but I got to keep about 60% of is, and my account go frozen with paypal.

I was actually excited I got frozen by paypal cause it meant I brang in too much money too fast without them knowing. LOL. It even took a phone call to them at 2am in the morning (as I live in oz) but without a list of my first 2k I would not have had sales and affiliates getting on board. Having a list is not the be all and end all, but then again if you are doing business online and not building some sort of a list, you are waisting your time. I guarentee you that.

When I started building my lists, my whole income and businesses changed very quickly.
