Artistic - suggest you look seriously at Aweber or GetResponse.

The relativedly small fees will become insignificant as you grow your list. Treat your subscribers well (i.e. build a relationship, no relentless selling) and when you do promote good stuff to them occasionally and they are responsive you'll be OK.

Also using the likes of Aweber helps to keep you protected from spamming issues via double opt-in process.

    Thanks,

    Andy.

You should use an autoresponder ( you send a mesage to your subscribers with one click) .

    You have 3 options:
1). Email Marketing Software & Email Marketing Services from AWeber
2). Email Marketing Software & Autoresponder from GetResponse
3). Imnica Mail - Email Marketing Service - Email Marketing Solved

May you tell us how you got 900 subs if you don't know about autoresponders etc?

I'm also quite interested in how you got your hands on a 900 person list. If you aren't using an email service, how did they opt-in? Or did you purchase the list?

Either way, you need to do some quick reading because if it's a good 900 person list, you have money waiting to be made.

I agree! That way you know more about your leads, and vice versa.

If you do not start communicating with your list soon, the subscribers will become 'stale' very quickly, and your chances of getting conversions will be slim. I would agree with Zimzalabim - use a paid autoresponder rather than a free one. Your list is an asset so you should not jeopordize it. Any of the 3 autoresponders mentioned would be equally good.

A paid for autoresponder gives you so much control over your mailinigs to your email list. I would recommend anyone that is starting out and want to build a list to pay for a autoresponder like aweber. I have always used aweber so I can not vouch for any other one, but I wouldn't be without it.

One reason that many people want is a free autoresponder until they start to make some money themselves, then they may plan to go for a paid for service. There is though a big problem in doing this, as you will have to swap your list over to the new autoresponder service. To achieve that you have to email all your subscribers and then ask them to resubscribe to your new autoresponder list, and the problem is that you will find that you will loose a huge percentage of your susbscriber list, because many won't bother resubscribing, some will say they will do it later, and never get around to it. So it makes sense to get your list on a paid for autoresponder right from the start

this is a no brainer, you MUST use a paid autoresponder to manage that list so you can promote and make money from them.

I dont have a list that has reached 900+ yet, but one thing is for sure i wouldnt be without my aweber account, it is vital for me, and a paid autoresponder service should be the next step you take before doing anything else

you have a lot of control using this type of program. it would be a real shame for that 900+ to become stale because you are not emailing using autoresponders.

Aweber is my favorite. Also they have a 1 dollar 30 day trial to get started. Giving you enough time to.get some $ from your list to pay for the service.

Congrats in getting that far. 900 subscribers is indeed good.

But only if you're using a paid autoresponder service like Aweber.

You said you wanted to send email messages, or 'broadcasts', to your subs. Could you somewhat elaborate if you got those subs thru an opt in form or not?

Yea, I'm assuming that if you have a list, you already have an email autoresponder. U don't mean RSS feed subscribers, do you?
