Question about articles and syndication.. I really don't get it

Hello,

I have been trying to do IM for about 3 years and I admit I failed.. and it is my fault because I am all over the place.. each time I start something then I jump to another thing because I find better keywords then jump to another idea.. so I end up losing everything, now I want to focus on one idea as many warriors suggested but I am confused.. yea 3 years and I am a newbie because I never stick to anything..

Now I am creating unique content for my site and I am building good quality backlinks even tho my site has alot of .edu backlinks and regular backlinks but I havent started it yet since it was parked and I bought it from an auction.. my question is can I use the content that I write on my site and make it in articles then submit it to article directories? or I need to create a new article with new content and submit them?

Also how do you do the article syndication? like where do you go to do it and submit it? directories? programs? I really have no clue , excuse my ignorance but this time I am trying to get it right since everytime I act like I know everything lol

Your articles should always go on your site first. Even those you are writing for syndication.

You can learn a bit about syndication here:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ndication.html

(Alexa knows a little bit about it and Bill Platt does too)

Also, use the search function up top and the term "article syndication"

Yes. You're writing unique content as you mentioned, and you own full exclusive ownership rights to that content. This means you can publish it on your site and in other content syndication networks which accept content from authors even if the content has been published elsewhere. A lot of article directories accept previously published content, and I recommend finding article directories where a lot of webmasters with sites contextually relevant to your niche and target subject areas regularly go to find useful content which they can syndicate on their sites for their target audiences...

You can also do this. There are webmasters who want unique content in exchange for targeted exposure and backlinks. One such online portal where such webmasters/blog owners go to is MyBlogGuest.Com...

In this arrangement, they get unique content useful for their target audiences. You on the other hand get wider exposure to audiences most likely interested in your target niches and subject areas. You can funnel the traffic the sites of these webmasters get to your website, and you also get contextually relevant intext backlinks, possibly with onpage PR, in the process...

See above. You can also directly contact webmasters of sites contextually relevant to your target niches and subject areas, particularly webmasters of sites with top ranking pages in Google for your target keywords. Negotiate guest authoring deals with them, so they can get unique content, while you build yourself as a friendly, expert resource of useful and relevant content and get wider exposure to audiences most likely interested in your site content and offers as well as contextually relevant intext backlinks possibly with high onpage PR...

    Hope this helps...

Every kind of business you've ever tried has been planned to be dependent on search engines for its traffic, then? Maybe that would be a good thing to look at, and try to do differently, for your "one thing to stick to"?

Just a suggestion, because businesses that are entirely dependent on Google for their traffic can only ever be one algorithm-change away from a potential disaster, as so many Warriors have found out, to their great cost, this year. If you're going to do one thing and stick to it, might it be a good idea to choose something that isn't dependent on Google for its traffic? Only a suggestion ...

I find that among people who have longstanding, successful online businesses, "keywords" tend to be a rather lower priority issue. Just an observation.

You can indeed, but the real benefits of doing that are only for syndication, not for traffic or backlinks. There's no real point at all in submitting it to more than 1 or 2 article directories, and no real gain from multiple submission. This thread, and the links in it will tell you what you need to know ...

You shouldn't submit to an article directory an article which hasn't already been published and indexed on your own site. But what you submit to an article directory needs to be written for syndication, otherwise there's no real benefit.

This post answers those questions, I think.

These two resources can also be very helpful, for article syndication ...

You will fail when you quit, until then, well...3 years is quite a long time, and I'm sure you must have learned something, so, 'now' seems very good time to leverage your knowledge.

From what you say, I can observe that you have neither planned nor implemented your strategies perfectly. So before you go ahead, you may want to look into your so called failures to elucidate "exactly what went wrong?"

I would also urge you to consider the difference between unique and valuable. From what I have learned, "uniqueness" of your content has nothing to do with your success (WRT SEO). What you want to provide is valuable content that exists for a purpose. To elaborate on this point, suppose you create an auto-blog that scraps content (valuable, not unique) concerned with a particular topic from internet in a way that you can entice your visitors to opt-in, and subsequently presell/sell something. IF you can make it work (and it IS possible indeed), there you have your elusive success.

I can see that you are in good company as far as present discussion is concerned, but I wanted to point out the above.

Perhaps the best and highest use of articles is when they are widely syndicated in targeted publications and read directly by your prospects. The concept is simple, yet it baffles me why so many continue to fail despite the explanations given here repeatedly. For any given commercially viable niche, there are literally millions of potential candidates for article syndication outlets. These include not only ezines, but also relevant websites, blogs, and even offline publications such as newsletters, trade journals, magazines, newspapers, etc.

There is no reason why one should be limited to write just for backlinks, when a direct marketing approach is much more effective and draws far more in convertable traffic. For example, my article marketing method - syndication - makes the search engines nearly insignificant and completely bypasses the heavy keyword competition in every niche in which I sell. The now 28,000+ (and counting) sites in my syndicated network are comprised almost entirely of authoritative, targeted, and context-relevant outlets that also often rank in the top 1-3 in the SERPs for my keywords. Traffic from article syndication exceeds by several multiples of magnitude of what the SERPs alone could generate.

I have found that I could write a lot of articles and spend a lot of time posting them everywhere but that it didn't get me the results I got when through trial and error I figured something out.

I can write one very high quality article a week that has never been published before and post it on Qondio.com. Once it is past their required time as new, I then post it on my site and on ideamarketers.com. No where else.

People pick it up (syndicate it) and I get lots of targetted traffic and great backlinks that seem to stick from doing this.

    I found that if I
find a market of things people are already buying that doesn't have too much competition, put up a squeeze page, get targetted traffic which converts to sign ups to my list, offer them value so they stick, promote offers of value, then in about 2 months, it is pretty much making me money and then I can move on to another niche.

    Good luck.
