WYSIWYG Website Builders

Hello Fellow Warriors,

I was wondering could anyone give me some advice on WYSIWYG website builders? I recently downloaded WYSIWYG WB 7 and it's pretty confusing to use so far. I read some of the FAQ's and it was saying to find a website you like and try to build it as such. I found it pretty hard as some of the functions won't let me edit things the way I need to for it to look right. Does anyone know of a software program that's a little user friendly? And if WWB 7 is a program, what would you suggest in order for me to be able to start building websites without spending hours doing it? Any advice will help!

P.S. Are there people on here that offer web building services for a decent price?

Have you tried wordpress? If you have web hosting account you can install it in a few minutes, choose a theme(design) and start adding content.

When using wordpress to create your site, will your affiliate links determine the siz of the ad itself or do you have options as to what size the banner ad is? Could anyone show me a dummy site to get an idea of what IM or AM site would look like? Also, you have to have a domain name already in place in order to sign up for affilliate accounts right?

Don't use WordPress to create websites.

Here is a list of some free WYSIWYG editors: Free WYSIWYG HTML Editors for Windows

Note that this link is to a list compiled in 2009. I am sure there are updated lists out there.

NetObjects Fusion Version 7 was the best WYSIWYG website editor ever developed. Some will argue about that, but I will just block my ears and hum. They stopped selling it years ago, but you could probably find a copy on eBay or somewhere like that. They came out with a few versions after that, but none were as good a 7.

From my looking around, I came up with xSite pro, and nothing standing above that (WordPress aside).

Thanks Aussie Guy! I looked at the xsite pro website and I was really impressed with what I saw. No other program that I have seen even offers video tutorials or anythingor at least not in depth. And YouTube is full of alot of info you can't really get a "series" of videos to one particular product. I appreciate your input bro! And thanks to everyone else's input as well.

    Hi Deshawn

Actually the affiliate link determines the size of the banner, but usually if it is a good affiliate program, they will give you different sizes of the banner, so that you can use them however you want.

WordPress does provide the functionality to play with the sizes of banners, however for the best quality it is better to pick one already made from the affiliate program.

Also, there are several affiliate companies that do require you have a website in place, but some do not.

For instance, I know Clickbank (which a lot of marketers use to promote affiliate products) does not require you have a website.

Good luck with looking for the best wysiwig editor, and I agree WordPress is the best. Once you play around with it, most people discover their functionality is super easy.

    To Your Success,
    Martin
