How do you create content?

Hello!

I'm really stuck when it comes to creating content.

How do you manage to create content about something you don't know anything about? Do you search on google and find something about it and then rewrite it?

Yep, simple research goes a long way.

    Wikipedia, About etc etc

Make a sheet in which you write the main points from those sources, then compose
the article based on those points.

(In Wikipedia look at the bottom where it has related topics)

    Hope this helps,

    Cheers!

P.S: Local library is also a great place

That's always a good way to find content. Google it - learn about it - write your own.

    Or

You could hire someone to do it for you.

Sure you can go to a places like ezinearticles.com and put in your keyword(s) and review articles related to the niche you're operating in.

Then you can get ideas and the write the content yourself or simply pay someone else to write the content for you.

This forum has plenty of free and paid sources for content creation.

    Hope This Helps!!

    TL

Ps. It helps to know why you want the content created and how you're going to use it.

I find PLR articles make a good springboard for ideas on a niche. Over the last few months I've ended up with a hard drive full and most of it came from giveaways.

Actually, why reinvent the wheel while, its already done for you?

Go to google: type in your niche/product and after it put articles.

You do not have to rewrite it. Just add your website link to it or conact info and your done.

People rarely come across the same article twice.

By writing complete new articles you will lose huge amount of time! Use that time to promote your article or blog/website instead.

    good luck with it

And then one fine morning, a DMCA will bring your sites and domains to a screeching halt. People do check diligently to make sure that their articles are not copied. If I build quality content, I know how to protect it as well.

Writing articles will take a significant amount of time. You can either outsource it, or take some time and write some quality articles.

Other options, if you desperately need content:

      1. PLR
      2. Public domain material
      3. Articles from article directories, which can be republished with proper attribution
      4. RSS Feeds, which allow you to use them, with proper attribution
      5. Spin it with tools
      6. Rewrite it

The problem is, some newbie will read that and consider it as golden advice.

      Just a thought, IMHO

Assuming you are even remotely serious - can you back this up with time-proven +'ve results? for what would appear to be blatant plagiarism...

Something I have done with very good results is find a number of relevant articles. Choose a good paragraph from each one and rewrite these paragraphs in your onw words, turning the finished piece into a quality, unique article.

The best way that I know is to find your topic and then go to a local library and do some research. This is easy and free. You will be able to find something on your topic and give you ideas of where to turn to next.

I wouldn't use on line sources such as wikipedia. You can but to tell you the truth, wikipedia has a lot of errors. So I wouldn't rely on it. Your object is to become an authority on your niche. If this niche should be profitable, you want to spend time on it and know about this product or service.

    Hope this helps.

    Mike

It might help to think about this from a business perspective.

Why are you choosing "creating content" for your business model, if you're not an expert in any field? Do you enjoy it? have a background in writing? or just think about doing it because you read somewhere that you could get rich? (good way to lose your shirt in the process!)

There are lots of ways to make money on the internet. If you're good at graphics, that might be a good choice. Good at coding or programming? Also good choices. Good at promoting? Write copy and sales letters, and let someone else create your content.

Assess the skills you have now, and find out how and where they're sold on the internet. Build on what you have, instead of competing with people who are experts.

Just a few things to think about.

I have always found that the use of Private Label Rights (PLR) has been my best approach
when it comes to finding content that I can use on my web sites and blogs, along with writing
articles,e-books and reports on subjects that I previously knew nothing about.
      ...And yes, they do sell.
The beauty of PLR content is that all of the research has already been done for you.

Private Label Rights means that you now have the rights to do practically anything
      you want to that product.
It is very simple to take a PLR product and rewrite it into your own words.
Once you have done that, you have just created an entirely new product of your very own.
      You own it, 100%!

By using Private Label Rights products and putting them into your own words,
such as e-books, articles, reports and so on, you will always have an endless supply of content at your finger tips.

Again, the best part about PLR products is that the research has already been done for you...
      Hope this helps.

Seems this horse is pretty dead by now, as it should be. Perhaps this is educational to the (hopefully ex-)rider.
