I currently have a site that is doing well in 1 out of 6 keywords I am linking for. I do not know why this is the case when the keywords are as competitive as each other and the same amount of work is being done for all keywords.
The site has an average of 400 words per page which includes 1 Amazon carrousel and adsense ad on each page. I am thinking is this the problem? What do you guys think ? Should I remove the Amazon carousel off?

No.. you need to keep building your links as usual.

But make sure they are from quality URLs, stuff that is actually RELEVANT to your own site. Not just random stuff that has nothing to do with your site.

Also make sure they have at least a PR1 or higher. It takes time man. lol

Na man, as long as you have some content on the page and it's indexed by google, you are doing fine. Just keep building links from authority sites and dont be impatient. It can take awhile, especially for a competitive niche.

To make sure you are still indexed, go to google and type in:

    site:yourdomain.com

If you show up, then you are listed in the search engines. Just keep building links BUT DO NOT FORGET to keep adding fresh content.

Also, people freak out about the 'sandbox' when they are building links. lol so if you mysteriously drop a few pages in SERPs, be forewarned, you are NOT sandboxed. You are just in what is called "the google dance"

If/When that happens, dont freak out. Just keep on building the links as usual. Your site will come back ranking higher than it did before when you stop bouncing.

This happens because search engines dont know what to think about all these new backlinks coming in. It takes them time to process them and distribute "trust" to them, if you want to call it that. Oh - AND DO NOT - DO NOT ping your backlinks. Just let them index naturally.

  • Well the main thing is that making some quality links using unique content.... more is that you need to do slow link building process... if you do link building in fast manner then this will also affect your site..... and always try to do natural link building so that links remain forever..... make more blogs.. and try to bookmark them or try to do pinging of all the links you made....

ALSO I have a hosting Where I can add many domains. If I was to use it to add a few sites and back link them to the same private network would that be bad ?

When I do ping stuff, I use PingFarm | FREE Mass Ping Site To Ping Your URLs For More Backlinks

But I don't usually ping my backlinks. I let them index naturally, no point in trying to speed up the process. You don't want all those backlinks being indexed all at once, you'll be bouncing for months. lol

It takes time for them to get indexed, but thats fine with me.

If you set up your extra site(s) as a blog with good quality content with a link to your main site is a good thing. Just keep the content valid and consistent. It is what works, make sure you submit your blog site to the right places-as many as you can. Keep it useful and relevant.
