Hi guys,
I only started a little while ago promoting clickbank products. Today I looked up my clickbank analytics report for the last 30 days and it shows 625 hops and no sales.
My question is, what conversion rate would you expect to have on an average product? I am a bit disappointed with this sort of conversion unless this is normal. Perhaps I am simply promoting the wrong product - any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks for your help!

Some products will have very low conversion rates. But merchants will not tell you that their products do not sell.
Check the popularity and gravity in CB - that will give you some indication.
625 hops and no sales means you should ditch that product immediately.

It's actually a combination of several products. What would you class as an average conversion rate for clickbank?

It really depends on the market, and can be as low as 0.5 or as high as 10% or even 30%. These rates also depend on the product and on its pitch page. If you have very low conversion rates, change the product you are promoting. Also, I recommend you focus on one product inside a niche first.

If you had over 600 people click on your links and no sales, I would recommend that you take a look at their conversion rate.

To be honest with you, I no longer promote Clickbank offers only because their tracking software is not working properly and sales that should have been given to you, are taken and given to CLICKBANK or the owner of the product.

Again, the only reason why I stopped promoting their products is because sales have went down to 0 for me and there are others who are in the same situation. Their tracking software is not working properly.

There are other good products online that you can use without clickbank.

Yea, I think I got a bit carried away - using Ninja Affiliate plugin for WP I plastered my site with different products. I thought I weed them out later on based on what conversion they get.Might have to rethink my strategy.

That is interesting! People spending money and time promoting clickbank products and might miss out on sales due to failing tracking software. Can anyone confirm this? If there is any doubt, I will drop clickbank immediately.
Can you recommend any other affiliate program?

Yes, it all depends on the product. Track conversions for each product.
Then find out what is converting. Ditch the rest.

When you spend over $100 per day on advertising and are making sales for other products and are not making 1 sale in 3 or 4 weeks in Clickbank, then something is not working.

Conversation rates can be all over the board. It matters where those hops are being sent from. I have had a 1/10 conversion rate for really targeted ads and a 1/400 conversion rate when I was just buying eyeballs. The quality of the traffic also matters.

Traffic is 100% organic Google, so very targeted in my opinion.

If cookie stuffing is going on, would the hops still show on clickbank reports?

you might look at some offers on CJ.com, Azoogle.com, or any of the other affiliate, especially CPA, sites. Pay per lead can be profitable too.

How does pay per lead work? Is this like pay per click - no sales required?

Cookie stuffing will not show as hops on your reports.
Pay per lead is based on user action (filling out a form, typically).

That's what I thought - thanks for clearing this up. One thing to tick of my list to check for.
