Building your List is Addictive!

I must admit that I'm having fun getting hits on my list on one of my obscure niches, but one I'm passionate about.

For chits and giggles, what would you say are the best niche to build up your lists quickly?

And Yes I know that a lot of elements come into play like making money and what not, but putting that aside - what niche has made your list grow like no other niche?

I agree, list building is addictive....and fun. I love seeing new sign ups of people I can help.

As for which niche grows faster, all my lists grow pretty fast but more importantly, they convert well.

I go for very targetted traffic and so my sign up rate is high and then my conversion rate to sales is high, too.

The internet marketing niche has sent my lists through the freaking roof. I have 5,000+ in the internet marketing niche, and all though that does not seem like much, more than half of them convert in some of my blasts. For the most part, I feed my subscribers free and valuable content.

I have also found myself getting tons of double opt-in subscribers in the health niche.

Usually the most competitive markets, all though it is difficult, you will most likely build the biggest list.

    Pretty self-explanatory.

Thanks for all the great input guys.

I actually know someone who has a list of over a 100K but there is a high turn around (unsubscribers) since he mails nothing but "buy this product" offers... something to the rate of twice a day. To me that would be excessive.

That's what you call "churn & burn". For this to work you need tons of new subscribers coming in everyday.

Me personally, I don't like that style of internet marketing, I'd rather build a relationship with them as I'm in this for the long haul.

It is addictive, I actually set records and goals for myself to gain more and more subscribers per day to beat records.

By the way, it is in the SEO niche.

Back in the day, my fasted growing niche was a Farmville newsletter. I think "crazes" like this absolutely blow up on your list if you market it right.

Too bad the subscribers leave as quick as they come a year or too later

It can be, you keep wanting to log in and check your aweber stats...but just as important to pay attention to is the retention rate. Inevitably there will always be people unsubscribing for whatever reason, but it's important to figure out how to reduce this as much as possible.
