[Please Help] Before Christmas or After Christmas // Selling A Site

Hey all,
I had a simple question that i have been putting alot of thought into. Is it a smart idea to put up a site i have for sale right now ? being that Christmas is less then a month away ?
quick specs of my site, its making about $1500 a month and continues to grow, about 50kuv a month and 80k impressions
80% organic traffic 20% twitter/social media
I will be putting it on flippa , but my question is when is the best time to sell a site ? before Christmas people are saving and after Christmas people are broke, any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much

I've never sold a site before, so I can't speak from experience on this one.

BUT common sense tells me to wait.

With cyber-week going on right now and xmas coming up in less than a month, people will probably be more likely to buy gifts and get all of that kind of shopping out of the way before they go and buy a site.

I would try to maximize the earnings from the site before you sell it.. If nothing else, you earn more cash plus you have more proof of revenue for when you do sell it.

I seem to have pretty good luck with T-Shirt Hell's affiliate program around this time of year.

It's "adult" clothing. And everybody gives/receives clothes as gifts, no matter how old you get. So why not at least get a gift they would actually want to wear?

Its worth a try! https://www.tshirthell.com/affiliates/login is the sign up page. They pay 5 bux per shirt sold, PLUS they allow you to buy from your own link. Because trust me, you will probably see a few that you want to buy for yourself. haha I own about 30 of their shirts myself.

I also have a referral link if you want to sign up under me, they do have a tier program. I get 1 dollar per shirt sold by affiliates that sign up under my link.

So if you want my referral link just let me know. You got me on skype

From experience selling a handful of decent revenue sites...

Your site is going to be a five figure sale.

It's not an average joe that is going to pick it up, it will be a business man or women or group making an investment.

I don't think the Christmas season will be any variable to how well the site does...

If it sells retail products that may see an increase during the season... maybe push that angle to create more hype about getting a quicker return on the site.

I agree, a purchase like that will come from someone who already has the money designated to buy the sites, rather that a casual buyer.

Yeah, I doubt it would be a normal person buying it.

BUT at the same time, people who can afford to spend that much money have families too. They might not be browsing flippa or wherever you decide to list it for sale until after the holidays are over.

You never know until you try though, if it doesn't sell they should let you list it again for free (or so you would think) so give it a shot & let us know how it works out for ya!

I'd put it up now. I don't think people spending big money for a site are hindered by Christmas holidays approaching. Sounds like a nice site.

Most likely a business will end up purchasing it and will see it regardless of if you post it before or after. If you post it before and it doesn't sell for what you want then just re-post it. The listing fees are extremely low in comparison to how much the website will be selling for.
