People Are Spending Money Now, Are You Getting Your Share?

What recession? Stores have tallied record breaking spending and Cyber Monday recorded the biggest spending in history. Are you planning to get your share? Did you get your share?

My sales are up from last year, but not record breaking. However, there is still 32 days left, I'm optimistic. I'm bullish.

I wasn't really making all that great of money at this time last year, not enough to have a sample size that I could see if this time of year really effects things online. It's something that I'm interested to see though.

Do people generally buy less because they have less disposable income or more because people usually spend a lot this time of year?

I think there's a little truth in both of those questions. But this is a road the market hasn't been down before, so it'll be interesting to see how it pans out.

Yups, I'm creating exciting products to get that share.

I know that it's hard for everybody right now, so it's not that easy
to get people to open up their wallet but with valuable products
and discount offers that are too good to miss, you can definitely
take a piece of the pie.

And go with what's hot. Right now Mobile Marketing is topping the
charts. So go with the flow and grab a share of the market.

You're right about that Mary, Mobile Marketing is red hot. In fact, it seems anything with the word mobile in front of it is hot.

Anything that helps people stay mobile while doing what the love or what they have to do seems to sell ... Recession or no recession.

As an Amazon affiliate, I wait all year for online holiday shopping season and it has not disappointed! I compared my average daily Amazon commissions leading up to Black Friday to the commission after Black Friday and so far the difference is much higher this year than last.

Last year, my average daily commissions from Black Friday to the end of November were up 44% over my average daily commissions for the rest of November. This year, my post-Thanksgiving average daily commission are up 88% over the average for the rest of the month and that doesn't even count Cyber Monday results.

Should be an interesting week but I do wonder if people have simply accelerated their purchasing into November and if we'll then see slightly lower results this December to last? I certainly hope not but the surprising surge in spending just doesn't line up with the economy, IMO.
