Making Money through Free Code Academy?

I just came across this CNN video that shows "Code Academy" which is a free service it seems.

This site will teach you to code - Video - Technology

How many of you think you'd be better marketers and make a lot more money if you knew code?

And yes, I know that you can still make a lot of money without knowing any code, but what I'd like to know is if learning code is of interest to any of you?

My thoughts are that some of the biggest moneymakers in the IM game are the ones that have software and apps made for them which they sell. And they keep this pretty much a secret about this money making process and just sell you the end product instead when in fact the big money making takes place in software/app development.

And I think you'd need to know more than just free tools to make this happen.

Anyways thanks for the response, I'm just looking to see what others think.

Looks interesting. Thanks for the share.

Personaly I think you operate at a disadvantage if you don't have the basic skills of at least HTML and CSS and you expect to make your living out of the internet.

Even with the tools available, there is always some sticking point where a little knowledge would save frustration and time. But the fact is no one is interested - look at the response to this thread!

A case in point is I wanted to test out the WSO forum for list building and attracting potential affiliates so I put together a package of optin templates at the cost of my time and I had an instant product.

The short point is would be marketers who avoid learning the technical basics are short changing themselves.

    regards
    Rob

I can code websites and css. I don't program apps or software, though, but don't think I really want to either. I'm already too much of a geek.
