Contacting Doctors directly at their surgeries

Hi,

I've identified female doctors as a target audience for our product and wondered what you think of sending them a sales letter (addressed to them specifically) directly to the surgeries in which they work.

Was thinking about saying it was better than finding out where they lived as a bit of humour.

Was wondering what you thought before I went ahead.

    Hi Ed

You're new here but this is something that would normally be addressed in the offline section of this forum, just as a heads up.

To answer your question, direct mail is a good technique for offline sales but generally only if it is followed up with a few phone calls to try and set up a face to face meeting. Doctors are notoriously tough to get a hold of, as they get bombarded with sales calls all day everyday.

Depending on the services or products that you intend on providing, it could be something worth testing out.
