War Room needed for advice?

I own a large site that is getting lots of traffic. That traffic isn't being converted.

I don't know if I need to be a war room member to get advice or not. It is a forum. Through the forum members = sales. Unfortunately there are very few members but I am getting 1200+ unique visitors a month and maybe 1 new sign up.

It is REALLY frustrating and a VERY niche market (almost).

I think I speak for everyone when I say this.

We dont know what the question is.. lol so obviously we cant reply with an answer..

What are you trying to ask?

How to convert the traffic? How to monetize the visitors you are getting? If you need to be a WR member to get some advice?? haha I dont understand what the question here is.

      Thank you for the reply.

      Well yes.. haha

I don't know if asking for traffic advice, marketing advice etc was taboo or not ,as this is a paid forum, or if if those topics are for warroom members only.
My number #1 concern is traffic and sign ups (conversions so to speak).

I own a fairly new forum on aquatics and we are up to about 80K hits a month but on average we only get 1 sign up (and they aren't even active members). Obviously the desirable outcome is either more hits or a higher conversion rate.

or maybe just someone to lead me down the garden path

The War Room is a bit different from this section of the forum, this being The Main Internet Marketing Discussion forum where people 'discuss' marketing.

The War Room is more like a depository of really cool info and products available because you're a paid member, so no extra dharge.

First, I'd like to ask, where is the traffic coming from? Organic, PPC, Facebook Ads, Social Media?

Second, is there already content, open threads, etc there or are you hoping your visitors will start the creation of content?

PPC results are 14 clicks a week. I know that sucks and it is a heck of a lot more expensive than I had thought.

Social Media might be the next best category. I have the site in my signature across a dozen related forums with 10's of thousands of posts.

Lastly would be organic. General searches that are catching key words and articles on the site.

There is some content but it is fairly content deficient. I am considering getting someone to write a few specialized articles and I will keyword optimize them.

Another thought might be the registration process..... once I introduced CAPTCHA security and an additional level there was a sharp decline in sign ups. I initiated this because we got a LOT of spam bots

    Invert Planet,

The war room members share alot of information and products (both old and new) that may be just what you are looking for, for a one time fee.

The one time fee that you pay for a warroom membership, is cheaper than alot of the programs or services that you may be considering at the present time.

In my personal opinion, it's well worth it.

    Regards,
    James

Create a sig file and put a link to the site in there. Then people have some point of reference to comment on what might be happening.

All I can say is test and retest everything.Create a survey on your site and ask people what they like and what they dont like it may be as simple as not likeing the design or maybe the site loads too slowly.Ask the people that matter it will pay off in the long term.

I would consider doing some usability testing...tracking the paths people take on your site and identifying where they're "dropping out" of your funnel. You can do this in Google Analytics of course, but we've been experimenting with Usabilla - Improve continuously with fun & easy usability tests and are gaining some good knowledge.

I can't say much about your sites conversions, but I can say this:

Signing up to the war room is one of the best investments I've made since starting internet marketing. If you're not a member I feel you're missing out.

The amount of WSO's I've bagged for free has paid for itself over and over again. Free stuff that has made a difference to my online business.

Sign up, you won't regret it!
