Hi guys, I'm taking a mini poll to see the most popular ways in which people are getting traffic. In the past I've used a combination of the following:

Article marketing
SEO
PPC
Social Media

What's your favorite? Do you use any traffic sources I haven't listed? I would love to hear what strategies you're using in your business!

I use those you mentioned, plus the obligatory Squidoo lenses and hubpages. I also get significant traffic from affiliates.

Powerful Traffic Technique - with benefits

Here is a great way to get traffic if you do product reviews on your blog. Your site has to look professional, and have high quality, well-written for this technique to be effective, however.

After you've done a well written, professional review, send a link to the publisher's, author's or manufacturer's PR rep, explaining that you've just reviewed their product. Good pub is pure gold to these folks. They'll usually post a link from their site to your review.

It's a great thing for you, obviously. You get credibility, a link from a highly relevant authority site (priceless for SEO), and interested prospect traffic from the manufacturer's website who is researching said product before they make a purchase, which hopefully you'll help them do. Obviously, they'll be an affiliate link in your review to facilitate that.

    Try It, You'll Like it.

Almost all of my traffic comes from article marketing (online and offline publications).

The type of traffic you're looking for has to fit the type of traffic strategy.

Are you looking for a short burst of buyers - then look for JV partners with huge e-mail lists.
Are you looking to increase awareness of your blog - then do something with StumbleUpon, social media, or other source that will give you a quick increase.
Looking for long term? Work the SEO/keyword angle.

I use all of those methods. I find that social media ppc is the quickest method.

      A great tip there.

Make sure you keywords are seo'ed and use your keywords in description also.

We have a video that gets about 800 views a day from this. It has not really gone virals, but doesnt need to as i comes up in the search terms at number #2 spot for that term :-)

Try these, they gives us best results.

    1) PPC
    2) Joint Ventues
    3) Solo ads (do some research first)
    4) Articles
    5) CPA
    6) Press releases

The most imoprtant and where most of your sales will come from are going to where your most targeted traffic is, and put your message infront of them. That will help you make more sales for less work.
