Anyone Living The 4 Hour Work Week?

If so..what steps are you taking to achieve this?

I'll be honest...I'm not in "love" with internet marketing. I think it's a good vehicle to get me the lifestyle I want. I'm not a huge fan of writing articles, learning seo, building websites, building a client list...etc.

So I'm starting to hire people that love to do these things. That's right...there are people that will gladly do this stuff for you...at a nominal fee..Best of all...They love to do it...and it shows in there work.

I recently hired a person overseas to do all my web design and seo work. I really think it's going to be the best investment I've ever made. I can hand this person a project...get it done in 24 hours and reward said person with extra money for good work.

Soon I'll be hiring a team of 5-7 people that will run my business for me. Each person will have a different speciality. I figure I can crank out quite a bit of high quality stuff using this type of approach.

Then after that just putting everyting on autopilot. All my bills on autopay, use earthclass mail to get all my postal stuff emailed so everything is going through a central hub. Have my accountant get power of attorney.

So if anyone is living the 4HWW and has any tips or tactics feel free to share.

Very good . I appreciate that but to get income instantly also try google adwords where you dont require a website and article marketing.

Forum participation would be off the list of a 4 hour a week worker.

I'm actually a workaholic and a control freak! I know that I need to let go and hire some people to write articles, work website 2.0 campaigns for me, and create content for my web pages, but at the moment, I still do all the grunt work.

    sadly,

no. I am also outsourcing stuff i did years ago myself (article writing, bookmarking, submission)....but i am still working my *** off.

The more sites i get, the harder it gets to manage them, the more customers i get, the more time it takes for support..and so on.

The good thing is: I LOVE that "work", i have the strong desire to make more money, more products.
I hope one day i make so much we can move to southern spain and i can do IM from the beach, a few hrs/day.
Last summer i slacked somewhat with IM..i let everything run on autopilot...and did not really "work"...but certainly not a way to increase your earnings

I read the "The 4 hour work week". It made a lot of sense once you boil it down.

Unfortunately, a 4 hour week is only available to very established businesses. The idea I got from the book was once you reached a certain level in your self-owned business, you could skim the "cream" of the customers you have and fire the rest.

That makes a lot of sense since 20% of your customers demand 80% of your time.

The 4 hour workweek seems like such a faraway dream for me. Right now I can't even imagine what that would be like, but I would honestly like to be there someday.

Its my dream to live it. I don't currently live it but am working towards it...

The people that are very good at IM seem to excel because they love it. This also keeps them from outsourcing everything.

I guess that depends on what income level you want to base your 4 hour work week on.

If you only want or need to make $300 a week then you can pretty much be on that 4 hour work week just from article marketing heh.

If your like me and want way more...4 hours is a long ass time away. I couldn't make 10k a week and be happy lol.

4 hour work week sounds like an ending...Like wow I made it to where I only need to work 4 hours...

Screw that I might as well be dead...what the hell am I gonna do if I am only working 4 hours a week? Be bored that is what...

Im doing a 4 hour morning a 4 hour afternoon and a 4 hour evening
Im hoping to lose one of the 4 hour sessions out of my day soon
But working only 4 hours a week would be boring
Most people who dream of it never acheive it as its not really a very worthwhile objective.

    4 hour week?

I am working a full day job, selling on Amazon and eBay and trying to get a blog up and running. 4 hours a day sleeping would be good........

I love my work but I would like to decrease the hours I spend at it - down to about 20 - 30 hours per week. I really do not think working less than that would be tolerable to me.

I currently work seven days a week (with a day off here and there) and most of those days I put in long hours. I'm not sure if I am a control freak, a workaholic, or just trying hard to build the business I want - but for now I believe this is necessary.

Like NBeat, I have always wanted to read the book - and I will when I have some free time! lol

I don't 'work' and I don't count hours. What I do is fun. It's one cool project after the next - like building a tree house.

I don't believe that you can do that for more than a month or two. The sales will drop, or your rankings, or someone quits, something always comes up.
4 hours a week is the other side of 16 hours a day. going to extreme doesn't pay off in the long run.....

It depends on what you consider work...

If you consider work to be waking up in my own time, checking my emails, joining some discussions in this forum, watching tv, going down to the gym, checking emails again, browsing the internet.. blah blah blah then yes, I "work" many hours of the day.

    I'm an Internet Marketing addict.

Not trying to be big-headed, but when you earn what I earn through doing small things online.. then it's easy to become addicted.

It's like if I asked you to sit and click a button on a website (its not how I earn, but for the sake of discussion) , you could only press it once every 30 minutes and every time you did it you made $100. How long would you sit at the computer and click the button ??

If you need to outsource content, I am your man!! HEHE, its amazing how grunt workers like me find a way to hijack threads- but yes, IMHO, I would love to live the 4HW life. As of now, thats the ammount of work I put in a day, but I am happy with 4 hours a day as well, as long as I keep getting paid at my current levels!
For all those who live the 4HW, I have just TWO WORDS- HAVE FUN!
