How can I Reach my Goal of $10/Day Consistent?

Hey everyone.
Well I've been into IM for about 3 weeks now, but no success. I was trapped in the clickbank 'get rich quick' ads cycle. Well I think I've come to realize that they are not real

Anyway, my goal by the end of 2011, is to have a consistent income of $10 / Day. By the end of 2012 to have maybe some more

I have quite a limited budget (Maximum of about $100) but am willing to put in any amount of effort required (not getting in the way of my schooling although). Thanks!

Hello Blinking, I am in the same boat as you with respect to the financial objective, fairly new at this, just opened up my website today. Here are my two cents, and what I myself will be pursuing:

    1. Are you niche-y enough? Everything I've read says find your little patch of green un-mowed internet grass and claim it as your own. You probably know something, have done something, know people who've done something... etc. differently enough to make a new flavour with your name on it.

    2. Time or money, money or time. You and I could find sites for sale here, on Flippa, and elsewhere that have established *documented* traffic. But we don't have the money to buy that history, so we'll need more time to generate traffic.

    3. The combination of your website, Facebook, Twitter, a YouTube video (I used Animoto to make mine and it looks great for the $9.95 that I had to pay) all help. Granted, I can't say precisely which contributes what amount to the overall success, but it didn't take me much time to get a presence in these areas. You want to create destinations to make it easier for the world to 'bump' into you if you can't buy the ads.

    4. Speaking of ads, when I set up my new website at Netfirms, they gave me a $50 Facebook advertising credit and a $100 Google ads credit and I got those working for me right away. Sure, a lot of red-eyed evenings figuring out how it all works, and then tweaking your ad settings to see what works and doesn't but hey, if you want to learn, you can do it.

    5. SEO is one of the many buzzwords out there and without paying for ads (BTW, once my free credits get used up, I won't necessarily be buying more, lol) you can do 'on-page' optimizing with the text content, titles, descriptors etc. that Google is looking at when deciding on relevance of your page to the queries being sent out there. And then there's 'off-page' SEO that includes getting backlinks from other sites, forums, blogs, etc. to be referring to your site.

    6. If you have a few bucks and need your daily affirmation, you can outsource services to enhance your off-page SEO performance, like paying for traffic and paying for quality blog/forum posts.

    7. If your website is PG rated, with quality content, maybe 4 pages and more, then you can consider becoming an AdSense publisher and using your site to sell ads. This won't make you rich until you get very high (and legitimate) traffic, but it will get you closer to $10 a day.

I'll stop there, not because I've exhausted all the good ideas, but my neck is killing me from figuring this out all day craning at the computer screen!

All the best, and let me know how it's working and please share any cheap ideas you come up with!

Hey, do not get discouraged as you've just started out for 3 weeks. With such a short time, you won't see much success. IM is not get-rich-quick. It takes consistent effort & work on your part to be successful.

Find 1 method & focus, whether it's affiliate marketing, social networking, blogging, adsense, etc. Forget about all the shiny objects, these will only distract you. Stay focused & work consistently. Give yourself 1/2 year - 1 year, You'll succeed in no time.

Making money online is about learning a legit method and gaining the knowledge and skills you need to make it work for you. It's not something that happens overnight. You have to put in the work to see success. Given your situation, I would recommend you start a niche blog that focuses on a particular theme that's both profitable and one you enjoy like weight loss, learn guitar, electronics, video games and so on. Your niche blog should contain both product reviews and related info about stuff happening in your niche.

In case you're wondering why I recommend you start a niche blog as opposed to another method, here's why. It's something you can do around your own schedule, which is important when you're in school. The income is residual or passive -- work once but continue to profit from it, due to being found via the search engines. You can also generate multiple streams of income from the same blog. Blogs gain authority as they age and can be sold like houses on the housing market. Making money blogging, especially on Wordpress has become standard for those looking to make real, sustainable money online. All the "gurus" have blogs for a reason.

    Good luck,
    Joey

Get accepted by an Affiliate Network like Peer Fly. Then start making fan pages on Facebook. Promote offers via fan page. Take all the money you've made and reinvest it into your work. $10/day is a VERY obtainable goal.

Whatever you decide to do no matter what follow this: focus on one method, don't quit, and TAKE ACTION.

Look for a real, painful problem... one that you really have a
personal interest in, and then seek solutions to it that you
    can share with others.

Perhaps blog about that problem, or post about it on Facebook,
sharing your findings, including for-sale solutions that you have
    found.

Just make sure that the problem you focus on is one that is
one people are willing to spend money to solve, and that it's
a problem that enough people have.

Also make sure that you make people who actually have money
    aware of your solution.

You should be able to do that on fiverr with ease. You must have some type of marketable skills, whether it is link building, writing articles, graphics etc.

For quick money, services is the way to go. Get enough testimonials and people will start flocking to get you to do their work and you have yourself a legitimate business. You could even start outsourcing the "work" part of it once you get enough work and focus solely on getting clients.

Even at 4000-5000 visitors per month, with revenues from AdSense and a soon to be signed contract for $15/month, I'm still only getting ~ $50/month.

Hi again Blinking... here are some other thoughts I've found for you (and me)...

Do you have writing skills and a problem that you've solved? Why not write up a free report?
A lot of people suggest issing a press release, and posting it on your own website, blogging about it, submitting the release to various directories...
You can buy email lists of prospects of course, or build them up over time, I hear about 'squeeze pages' on people's websites, it seems that's the page where you collect their email address for a specific purpose... they can come in handy later as you develop more things to offer
I created a Youtube video for a client, and had a lengthy description of the video too, and this definitely improved page ranking for that website
You have the Like and +1 button embedded into your website? Easy peasy.
Write up an article with a great idea and submit it to directories.
If your website doesn't already have a blog page, add one, and update it regularly.

Here's the thing: try and think and behave like a woman, and nurture your baby.
