Can anyone recommend a safe, quick and easy way to upgrade a Wordpress blog, based on personal experience?
I know there is a plugin called 'Wordpress Automatic Upgrade' (current version is 1.2.1) but before using it I thought it may be a good idea to get a second opinion... ![]() Thanks, Francois |

Hi Francois,
I've used the WP auto upgrade plugin for 4 of my own blogs without a hitch. It saved me a heck of a lot of time. Kindest regards, Karl. |

Hi, I saw that plugin, but have not tried it out yet, I have some custom programming in my blogs, so I just follow the upgrade instructions in the wordpress upgrade.
That plugin may be good and it may work well, I have tried some automatic upgrades for plugins, and its hit and miss, some work some dont. |

I use a plugin called "Instant Upgrade"... not sure if it's the same one.

I used to do it the old fashioned way, but the Instant Upgrade plugin has made it so much faster and easier. Definitely worth using.
Just make sure you back up everything before the upgrade. |

Being the non-techie type, I usually upgrade my blogs via my cpanel and fantastico. Works every time. But that plug sounds like something I should check out.
How does upgrading from the WP blog work out? Best, Cal |
